Cedar Point Announces New Water Ride for 2010 Season

And the rocket at kennywood has given some rides already as well. So it looks like last place for str IF it indeed opens this weekend.

True...True... Well oh well! Hopefully the ride is good.

I would be surprised if it opened this weekend. There has been no word from the park indicating it would be open. Not even to the inaugural riders. However, if it does open, that's great. Unfortunately, I won't be able to ride it until at least 4th of July Weekend.

Me eather. I will be at timbers fest this weekend.

We are planning on going for the 4th as well.

Yeah the last I heard was, that all the water was drained out.

I'm planning on going a week or two after the 4th.

UPDATE: Shoot the Rapids is scheduled to open THIS SATURDAY, June 26. Tell yer mom, dad, sister, cousin, grandma, Aunt Betty and all yer friends!

Darn! I'll be there for the ERT tomorrow but I REALLY want to be there for STR's opening day and the chances of finding a cheap room in time is unlikely. Worse case I'll drive there and back both days......even though that's a bit of a waste considering my distance.....::sigh::

I will be at park tomorrow and then hubby and I will be there Sunday!! woo hoo!!! :)

There is a room at motel 6 about 25 miles from the park for under $50 a night.

I'll be there Saturday. I had Saturday planned since last Friday so the opening of Shoot the Rapids just made my day! YES!!!!

We are camping all weekend and won't be able to get up there until Tuesday. Hopefully the hot weather holds up.

Is there water back it in yet? I want to get video of them testing it again. Has any been to Cedar Point today?

Adam the Bellevue Hotel and Suites in Bellevue, Ohio, 18 miles from the park has rates for $59 on Travelocity. I was looking for a hotel early and came across it, it seems pretty good for the price.
