I don't think CP benefits monetarily from hits on their website, considering they have no ads. Ignoring the value in dissemination of info to potential guests, each visit actually costs them money.
I didn't mean for income purposes (at least not in a $1 per 1,000 views sense). Just to get a bunch of people on the website on a Saturday in hot June so they can start thinking about CP and thinking "man that new ride looks sweet, why have I not been to CP yet?"
See you guys there tommorrow. I'm going to give up my ERT to try and get in line early.

Rollbacks: 1st Triple Rollback of 2009!
Some people on other sites are saying the ride is still having trouble and may not even open tomorrow. Hopefully just rumors...
The ride tested until about 7pm tonight. Then shut down leaving 2 boats on each hill about halfway up. I wonder if this will be normal when the ride shuts down each night.
They were churning out boats pretty fast, although, no load times = fast cycles.
I asked Tony for a ride after midnight and he answered with a resounding no. Would have been a nice make up gift for Dragster going down mechanical just as ERT was about to start. ;)
^^ The Sandusky Register is confirming a last minute "snag". No word on whether it's actually opening today or not, although I suspect the Red Cross riders know by now.
Hey, I heard a rumor that Top Thrill Dragster is sinking...
I have not received a call from them. So, I assume it is on. Alhough I am not there, I gave my seat to a friend. I am still the point of contact if anything were to change.

I don't know, the website/blog have not been updated with this supposed opening. Why do I smell another delay?
Wow if it would have got delayed again....That would be a mess. Glad that it is open. I might be there tomorrow.

I'm guessing Walt will have video and pics right? I know someone from Pointbuzz is there because of all the tweets I'm getting. :)
Let's Get Weird.
Looks like the minimum height changed from 42 to 46. 48 to ride alone.
someone posted on the iphone wait time app that the wait time is 3hr and 15min right now. Dragster is only an hour and Maverick is 30mins. I'd be on those two and the water ride can wait.
I'll be there this coming Wednesday, and would definitely love to take advantage of a little line redistribution like that.
The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

Exactly. I will be in the OH area july 7-20. I used to live there but I now live in FL and I come up every summer to visit family and go to the point a bunch of times. This new ride will be a blessing in disguise for me.
I posted some updates on http://twitter.com/pointbuzz and http://facebook.com/pointbuzz. I have photos and video to post later.
I look forward to riding (or at least watching). Disappointed in the height requirement change, though...no longer a "family" ride for many of us. Guess the kiddies will have to wait another year or too.
