Why not cyclone?

I think it would be great to bring that name back into the park. The "cedar point cyclone". Has a great ring to it.

Much better than "flight deck" or "afterburn".

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Not to mention, "Twisting Wooden Coaster". Oh wait, they save the generic names for Kings Island. ;)

It just seems too over-used and old. I don't think Cyclone right next to "Wicked Twister" and "MaXair" fits in well. An old name like Cyclone would go good right with the other old ride coming back to life this year.

^ I agree. Cyclone is used at 10+ parks. Come up with something more original.

I looked at other former coaster names, and decided that Scamper was runner up... I really want to keep the name vintage CP.

Really?

What other park has a "cedar point cyclone"?

^Georgia Cyclone, Texas Cyclone, Myrtle Beach Cyclone, Cyclone, same difference. They all have the word Cyclone in it. I always think it is great to hear an original name.

Ok, I'm going to rename it "Twisted dropping to the beach and back wooden coaster"

My second choice is "Lightning Porpoise"

I dunno, but it seems to me that a twisting wooden coaster located where it is, would be a good time to bring out "Twisted Wicker" as a ride name.

The more everyone keeps saying to build a wooden coaster on the beach, the less CP will consider it. DT will be there for many, many moons, and, as long as it holds storage, will probably be there for another 3 millenniums to come.

Just sayin'.........................:)

And please don't tear down WT, I like that ride. :)

^ I doubt they would tear down Wicked Twister. It's only been around for what 8 years? That Roller Coaster will be there for a few decades like Blue Streak.

As far as Disaster Transport, I like the ride but the leg room on it sucks. I have to fold my legs Indian style just to be comfortable. Other than that it's a good ride. I wish it was more roomy like Flight of Fear at Kings Island. That's my suggestion for Disaster Transport.

Ideally they wouldn't have to remove WT or DT. I think there is enough room on the beach itself to build a coaster, especially if some landscaping was done to make the land more suitable.

Oh, I also did a lot of work on the boardwalk area of my design, check it out here.

And if we have a dark ride you could call it a Doom Buggy.
(Oh wait, another park might get a little mad about that.) :)

^ what park???

BTW, Flight of Fear blows DT away like a leaf in the wind.

For thrill factor, theming, leg room, and ride length...........:)
