Per the new OnPoint blog post:

Chick-Fil-A will be in the old Frontier Inn. (very back of park near Maverick)

Panda Express will be across from the Red Garter (end of Frontier Trail)

^ I guarantee you if they did away with Dippin' dots, Cedar Point would lose at least one customer. (okay, maybe not, but I would go into withdrawal.)

I think a Dave and Buster's would do awesome at Cedar Point.

^^If you do, check your local grocery store because I found Dippin' Dots!!

Well ok theyre not actually called Dippin dots, but theyre the same thing. They taste the same and they come in the same flavors. Everytime I have one it gets me anxious for the season.:)

That's what CP should do. Just close all the food outlets and install vending machines. POOF, no more employee salaries to pay. Instant cash savings. It IS all about profit, right?

Boy, you guys are vicious...

I did say that I may be "mistaken" in my post. Just because I don't spend all my waking time waiting for announcements from CP and CF doesn't mean I can't be informed about stuff.

Frankly, putting Chick-Fil-A in Chuckwagon wouldn't be a bad idea. There is more room in the kitchen in the Frontier Inn though, so it makes more sense to go in there. I can admit when I'm wrong, but people need to relax a bit when it comes to information.

Also, exactly which side of Stockade are they putting in the 3-point challenge? Seeing as the major patio for Stockade is the 'north' side, I don't think they'd put it in there. That would take away a major seating area for guests and their food. I was told last summer they were planning to modify the Jitney arcade, but I was made privy to exactly what they are doing. I'll make a couple phone calls and see if I can find anything out about where things are exactly going, specifically the 3 point challenge.

For the person who was asking about the new 3 Point challenge:

It is going on the OTHER side of Stockade (the side closer to Maverick).

Thank you. I'm glad that my question was finally answered. What was there before?

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

wow....

There are going to be a lot of unhappy people when they buy their food this summer. They've taken out the large patio and replaced it with the hoops challenge. Don't get me wrong: change can be good, but Stockade Refreshements is one of the biggest moneymakers in the park. By simply removing the seating, I think food sales will be affected significantly. I may be overreacting, but being in charge of that location and others surrounding it gives me a bit of insight. I hope they will be adding some more seating back in Area 3 to accomodate everyone. Think about it: do you think they would really take away that much seating and not replace it? With the heavy traffic for the new ride, I certainly hope they do. In terms of tables, the closest place (aside from the smaller patio by the tracks) is next to Sweet Tooth. There are some small benches around the trees in front of Stockade, but not much room. The next 'big' patio is by Los Gatos, with random benches scattered between Gatos and Stockade.
Like I said, I hope they do add more seating, whereever it may be.

There is also the wooded boardwalk area next to stockade refreshments for people to sit and eat as well. I hardly ever see anyone sitting there except to eat a elephant ear.

I agree, where they are putting the 3 point game is a bad location. There would have been plenty of room right next to mean streak(right across the railroad tracks to the right. They need something over in that area.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Woah, woah... Bach off there, buddy. You don't have to Ludwig out on everyone.

Guess nobody caught the joke that was Haydn in your post.

Back to topic: I've never had the chance to set foot in a Chick-Fill-A. I don't think we have one in the Akron area. When I mentioned it to my sister, she reacted negatively -- not because of their food, but because of their corporate culture. Has anyone else heard abou this? According to her, Chick-Fil-A is supposed to be this uber-Christian, fundamentalist company that subtly coerces their employees into prayer meetings and makes everyone sign an oath that they won't drink, not even at home. I don't know how much of this is actually true, but it's rather concerning to me. I did a little quick research, and as it turns out, the company is always closed on Sundays to "glorify God". Have we stepped back into the 1950s? If you don't believe me, check out the link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chick-fil-A

I'm not trying to disrespect anybody's religion. It's a free country and people can believe in Jesus or Allah or the Easter bunny for all I care. But when I can't get something to eat at Frontier Inn on Sunday because God might get mad at me, then I'm p1ssed.

Guess I'd like to hear from people who know more of the story about the company, and especially from anybody who may have worked at Chick-Fil-A. No flamers need apply.

I do not mind chains as long as they keep there own food as well.

The chinese food in the western themed frontier town does not sound like it goes together very well. It reminds me of the movie "shanghai knights".

I just hope they do not put a McDonald's next to Millenium Force. Than they will be able to start saying: "Sir, You are not allowed to bring that Bic Mac in line with you. But, I do not think you will be able to fit anyways".

Peace, Mikey
