Panda express and Chick-Fil-A?

crazy horse's avatar

It was brought up in other threads, that cp will now be home to a panda express and chick-fil-a.

What are your thoughts on this?

I wonder where they will put them, and what will be leaving?

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

The brochure's new smoking policy (discussed in another thread) indicates the Panda Express will be across from the Red Garter. Not sure about the Chick-fil-a.

Count me in as another anti-chain person.

I don't know if I like the park losing its originality in foods in exchange for places that I can find at my mall, but as long as the place isn't over run with chains, I don't mind a few. The only chain that I really want in the park is Starbucks. :)

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Way to chose the one chain that's already taken over the rest of the world.

Hrmmm...I like Chick-fil-a, and doesn't Donut Time serve Starbuck's coffee already?

Ride on, MrScott!

The day is soon to arrive that there will be TWO Starbucks in every strip mall in the country.

At that point in time I will load the .45 Kimber, place it on my temple and then realize it is a bad idea and go blow up a Starbucks.

I'm happy with the choices. Not sure if Panda Express and Raptor (for example) go together well, but I guess we'll find out. ;)

Also, I don't believe we have Chick-fil-a's in Michigan (at least not around Detroit area) and Panda Express's are to common around here either. The only one I can think of is in Great Lake Crossings food court.

EDIT: There is one Chick-fil-a in Pontiac and two other Panda Express's in Oakland Mall and in Lansing. If anybody really cared.

Where did you find this at? *** Edited 3/29/2007 2:43:42 AM UTC by Gomez***

Is Panda Express replacing Dastardly Dan's/Coyote Cody's? Is there anywhere else in the park to get a pulled pork sandwich?

"...and if you walk to the end of the block, there sits a Starbucks. And directly across the street -- in the exact same building as that Starbucks -- there is... another Starbucks. I think that some chains in the park may be good. I'm sure that some people take comfort in recognizing the name of the chain, therefore spending more money. At least its not a Burger King. At least these two don't seem to overrun some areas.

Thrills Around the Corner!

I know that the Frontier Inn is on the way out and that the Chick-Fil-A is most likely going in that location.

Needless to say, I'm not too thrilled with this.

Part of me is sayingc "Yes, something new and exciting," but another part of me is saying, "It's companies like this coming into the park that cause it to lose the subtle parts of its charm."

I didnt care for Frontier Inn's pizza.....though the only time I ever ate there was closing day so the dough they used was probably recycled.:)
In all I cant wait to see how these new chains do. I just hope PE has General Tso's chicken. :)

Being relatively close to the park, I don't find myself eating in the park much, but I must say I liked Frontier Inn's food when I last had it. Too bad its leaving.

Thrills Around the Corner!

If they continue along this route, its going to be your average outdoor shopping mall with some awesome coasters. I guess if I want to eat chicken by Maverick, I shouldn't go to the park on Sunday. LOL!!

It gives me 2 more places to eat at instead of going off-Point to eat. Yeah, it's overpriced, but it's convenient. That pizza wasn't very good. I had to dump about 50 packs of pepper on it to give it flavor. The first and last time I ate at Dastardly Dan's/Coyote Cody's, there were alot of ants on the serving counter. Sure I ate it, but my wife won't go back there.

^But, likely, it will still be Cedar Point operating it, so that doesn't necessarily fix an ant problem.

...And now I will express my great dislike for chains going into the park:

I hate the idea of chain restaurants, stores, or anything else, making their way inside the park!

I don't mind the ants, it's my wife.

I realize that, I was just pointing it out.

Is the Chick-Fil-A at Carowinds open on Sunday? Anyone know for sure?
