Do a lot of RIde Operators get moved around or no??

Just as a note, many rehires don't get called, they save those for the new employees (don't know who is new or not here). I checked with Debra today and I already got a position on Maxair, though I'm gonna check with Oz about switching back to a coaster (I really like high-pace rides, and since not everyone does, maybe they'd like me back there :))

And yeah, they do from time to time move people around depending on staffing needs. Sometimes temporarily for a day or a week, sometimes permanently, it depends on the situation.

Chances are you'll get to work at least a few rides during the season. You might not get a permanent move, but all departments tend to move people around at least temporarially due to low staffing levels in other areas of the park. Generally the only people that don't get moved around at least a little are TLs and ATLs.

In merchandise, my home location was Millennium Force Photo, but I worked at least 14 different merchandise locations over the course of the summer, including all 7 ride photo locations, Olde Time Photo, and 6 other stores and carts.

At least for me, moving around occasionally was fun. It made for a nice change of scenery. I'm sure after a month or two at the same location a change of scenery for at least a few days would be nice.

I was hoping to get in as guest services-but I must not be what they are looking for. I have been reviewed at least 8 times now-Oh Well. Maybe PKI.

Question: are you allowed to chooses a specific ride that you want to work?

Yes and No, you can request a certain ride, but if staffing is already filled for that ride then they will assgin you to another ride. I think it just depends on when you get hired and how your interview goes. I think they will try and get you your requested ride but sometimes it just doesn't work out that way.

You get much more of a say as a returning employee. I put MF as my first choice and when Debra called me she said, "So, back on Millennium?" Of course! :)
