Mr. Ott is a great guy, but I've held a grudge against him for a long time and will wait patiently untill he fixes the problem. It's actually pretty trival but I won't forgive him for it untill he figures it out. :)
I guess I should give a vague hint... well here it is. My screen name is ForgottenEE, Forgotten could be used to describe the cause of my grudge. I discovered something at the time I joined and decided on a username that uses "forgotten" partly because of Michael and partly for other reasons. It does have something to do with this site.
I guess thats enough info.
As honored as I am to have people talk about me once again, (truly it does wonders for the ego), this is not the time or the place.
If you have a grudge with me, ForgottenEE, then I apologize.
End of story.

Hey, a quick question for anyone that might be able to offer an answer. I've heard that sometimes they will let 17 year olds into park operations working on the Cedar Point and Lake Erie Railroad. Does anyone know if there is any truth to that? Would there be any reason to contact the park and ask? I have a good refrence (one who has worked at the park for 30+ years) if that would be of any help.

In my interview, when I said that I wouldn't be able to process in until late June because of my birthday, I was told that I would be able to work the train. However, I think it might just be sitting at the crossing, but I'm not sure. I'm sure someone else would be able to give you more info.

I e-mailed Cedar Point a while back and they said I couldn't live in housing because I wasn't graduating from high school even though I'll be 18. I posted this a while back in this same topic. I decided I'd give it a shot though and just try to get part time on weekends. I really want Raptor. If not, I just don't want to get stuck on a flat ride. Although I hear Cad Cars are fun.
I think they may have misunderstood your question. Since you can live there if you have graduated and are only 17, and there is no restriction if you are 18 (ie. special permission if 17, no one checks after 18). So I'm going to guess that they got mixed up.
Also... you should find the Raptor Jeff from 2005 who ended up on Cad Cars. :)
EDIT: Err... actually he was Turnpike. But its pretty much the same thing.

Yes you can be in Park Op at 17. They will put you on the train. After you turn 18 sometimes they give you option to transfer to another ride. I lost a few good 17 yr olds after they turned 18 to other ride. They work platform like everyone else on crew. Some of them even became 3 in charge.

so, i just checked the status of my application and it said it could be reviewed by park ops and challlenge park. Are those two different departments that will be looking at my app or does that mean park ops will be placing me in challenege park?

Hey, my name is Ray and I applied to work at Cedar Point this summer as a ride host and have a quick question. I was wondering what are my chances of getting hired for a position if I am able to process in May 15th and work through August 15th. I go to Purdue and we end May 13th and I move out that weekend. So I really wouldn't be able to get there till the 15th. And I believe we start school around the 21st next year in August so I would want to leave the 15th from there because you move in the weekend before classes start. I checked the status of my application and it's been reviewed by Matt Ozoskey. And feedback would def. be of help!
Hi Ray, welcome to Pointbuzz!
I don't think it should be a problem for you to process in May 15 and work through August 15. Generally the minimum contract term for new employees is three months, so you're right on the border, but I think you should still be able to do it.
If Oz already reviewed your application, then you will probably get a phone call to set up an interview within the next week or so.
This thread might answer more of your questions:

Good luck with the interview and let us all know how it goes.

May 15 through Auguest 15 is not a short contract at all! My contract last year was incredibly short: June 24 to August 8. But that's all the time I could really fit in, but next year it will be much longer.

I've read a lot of posts saying their application has been reviewed by ... Mine still says available for review by Park ops. and challenge park. Is this a bad sign or they just haven't gotten around to mine yet?
I wouldn't worry about it. There are alot of applications for them to go through and interviews to do so it could take a little bit of time. Plus one of the hiring managers is on vacation right now.
