I e-mailed Cedar Point. They said you have to be graduating to live in housing. So much for working at CP in '06.

Wow, they said you had to have graduated HS to live in housing? My first year living there I was 18 but had not technically graduated yet. I thought I was going to, but there was this weird mix-up and I had to retake a class (Geometry, bleh) before I could officially graduate. So I didn't actually graduate until next year when I was 19. So that rule is kind of odd.
Lol amen to that Ben. Well you have to be in your senior year of high school in order to live in housing I guess. I was looking forward to this too. They need to fix that on the website because it says you just have to be 18 and if you're not 18 then you can live their with a high school diploma. I'll give it another shot in '07. I'm sure it will be here in no time. Maybe I could just shack up with one of the locals lol.

If you go and click on the application, it says early December. Is it bad that I check multiple times a day?

Yes. That IS a bad sign.
But I do have a few questions. I worked there last year, so for returning kiddies... how does one go about requesting a ride? I know they don't always honor it but I've heard about people requesting a certain coaster... do you just write it on the app or what?
Also, I've heard rumors through the grapevine that returning employees don't have the phone interview... I don't know if this is true or not. But if it is, how do I go about changing some of my answers from last year? Like, for example, last year I said I was afraid of heights, but since that's something that I definately got over this summer, it doesn't really apply anymore... and I don't want to get stuck at a flat ride because of it.
Thanks, all! Looking forward to filling out that application soon...

Twisted Sister to answer your question, in previous years I recieved a letter in the mail from CP telling me about the upcoming season, what the pay is and so forth. There was also a sheet that you could request what ride you work on. I'm not sure if they will be doing that this year or not.
I worked at the red garter this summer.. Mostly bartending but serving occasionally.. It was seriously the best job I ever had. Serving gets INSANE with the show and number of tables.. but you make great money most of the time. I can tell you it's a lot more difficult than Johnny Rockets and Fridays because you're bussing your own tables, taking all table's orders at once, and getting them out of their right after the show. Fun place to work though.

You must've been one of those people who gave me water all the time (in a large cup, half-filled with ice, was that you?).

Ah i have to show some love for magnum. I mean it really is so much better than raptor that its not even funny... Hey kevin remember that one time we hit interval like 5 times in a row haha? I was so mad that one day that we hit our highest numbers all year and Phil told us that Raptor had beat us. So did they really beat us or was Phil lying? I never figured that one out.
Of course you wouldnt get the sarcastic satan thing...only Jebus (aka steve b) would understand. Its the one and only Katie :)
