If you are all planning on meeting out at the pavilion in the afternoon again I may try to stop by for that. I probably won't be eating anything (Coasters is a traditional lunch for me at the Point), but if you have left overs I may be able to help lighten the load you'll be taking home. :)

Someone did bring up a good point earlier about how timing is important. Do we plan to eat right at 7:30, or arrive at 7:30 to begin cooking up stuff. I am not sure what time opening ceremonies take place such as the band playing the National Athem and the raising of the US flag, but I'm sure many want to attend that (plus get themselves in a good spot for a run to the first ride of the year). I'm going to be departing Toledo pretty early to arrive at 7:30 and got the hot dogs, so my arrival is important for everything else to work out. I'm real important here....lol!

We plan on getting up around 6 and getting showered and ready to meet you guys around 7:30.
We are hoping to get a first train of the year ride on Raptor though.. don't know how well our odds on that will hold up but I can't wait to get back on!
Hey I was just wondering if you wanted me to pick up some krispy creams for the morning. And then we could just eat the hotdogs for lunch that way we do not have to worry about getting there so early and we can get were we need to go early. And like I said then we could meet up for lunch at like 1:30 and eat the hot dogs and chips. I have no promblem picking up a dozen or two of donuts. If you guys would want more I would need some money like you could all give me a $1 when I bring the donuts. What ever you guys want to do just a thought.

that sounds good to me. I forgot that people are driving from further away. I will be there @ 7:30a. I will not be able to sleep that night anyways. I am only about 20min out. It is going to be pretty early to be eating hot dogs anyways. After we meet in the morning we can decide on a time to meet back up. 1:30 does sound good to me though. OMG it is so nice today in lorain, the park could be open. It is 68F. Only 26 to go!!!!!!!!!1

I think it would be a good idea to have 2 meet times, like at 7:30 (someone bring donouts) and later at around 1:00 that way we have more time to intereract with each other, as well as the ones who want to get in the park as soon as possible, or who are coming from farther away, can at least stop in the second time. And I really don't see having Hot Dogs at 8 in the morning :)

yeah, the donuts in the morning sounds like a good idea. Also my count was at 5/6 and it is now down to 4 so you can subtract 1/2 from the head count. I can't wait and i also will not be able to sleep!!!
Arms down, head back, and hold on.....
Ok so it looks like so far I will pick up three dozen donuts. I will be there around 7:30 on saturday. Can't wait to meet you all.

Ohhh, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, I might try to make it down to the pavilions after all... :) The only problem is getting from Breakers to the front gate without driving...

If someone is getting donuts, you might want to think about getting some good donuts from a local baker. Krispy Kremes are ok, but they don’t even come close in comparison to Jolly Donuts. Since your coming to the park early, you will get fresh baked donuts, they make them every morning around 5AM. If any of you have had donuts from Donut Time in the park, they are like those. Big and tastey! Jolly Donut is located right across from Blockbuster on Rt. 250. As you are coming to the park, its on the left just before Perkins Ave.
Depending on where you get your Krispy Kremes, it might even be cheaper at Jolly Donut. These donuts are big too, not small. Very good. These donuts do not disappoint. Just something for one of you to think about:)

If you want Jolly Donut's that is fine with me. I just thought since I lived next to a Krispy Kream I would pick them up friday night befor I left for Sandusky. But what ever is cool with me.

I´ll be there too.
Oh, what am I saying, I mean; I wont be there... oh dear god why am I reading this thread anyway.
Damn, how I miss the Point... Have a great one, guys + girls
We were hoping to make it opening weekend. That plan sank like a rock.We will be up the first weekend in june,so if you see UT Vols shirt it might be me,or my son,We would still like to meet with some point buzzers.
Ok now, a couple of things we need to clearify here. We are all planning on meeting in the morning with pepsi bringing donuts and then we are meeting at lunch around 1:00 with everything pretty much covered except the charcoal and fluid.
1. Should we all pick up our own coffee or drink in the morning?
2.We still need a charcoal volunteer.
3. Any other suggestions?
It seems as though it is getting pretty complicated anyways. I would say go ahead and get coffee, hot chocolate, orange juice, or whatever you prefer to drink in the morning. It will be difficult to keep that much coffee hot.
Donuts are a great idea though. Seeing how hot dogs will not be good at 7:30a. I did not think of that myself. If anyone has a different opinion, go ahead and shout it out.
If noone else wants to pick up charcoal. I can get it. I just still have a lotta stuff to buy. I have the signs made and I have chips. I gotta buy cake stuff. And I have yet to purchase my parking pass, although I have regular passes covered.
Almost down to 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!1 woohoo!
It is going to be a blast meeting all of ya'll.
Mikey
