I will be there opening day "probably" just for Starlite Hours...along with fellow alum Jason Krzyzewski of Sharon, PA. (Traffic and Ride Op..'97/'98).

What are the crowds usually like on opening day?

It usually depends on the weather. I've seen everything from packed to empty.

DBCP is right it is hard to tell, and it usually follows weather. But I found opening day last year to be more crowded than than the year before. I think it was because of fireworks. And they are doing them this year also. So, I expect to be moderatly busy. That is just my uneducated guess, and of course I could be wrong.

Only 12 days to go. I hope this party turns out, cause if it does not, My wife and I are going to have a lot of cake to eat.

I have to agree. Last year did seem moderately busier than years past, and there really wasn't much to attribute it to other than the fireworks.

It seemed a little bit busier last year, but it still was no where near as busy as it gets later in the summer.

Also, I will be there opening day, but I don't think I will be able to make either of the meetings. If this changes I'll post something, but otherwise feel free to say hi if you see me in the park.

Ok guys, looks like 10 for 7:30 AND 19 FOR 1:00 now. This is like the Skyhawk swing here with the ups and downs of the numbers of who's going to be there. Lets make a deadline here of how many will be attending so that those of us that are bringing things can get a more accurate account. How about Wednesday the 3rd.

What time does the ticket window open. I have a season pass but my cousin does not and he needs to buy a ticket and we are going to the Magnum Gate at 7:30-8:00 in hopes of riding TTD early. So my question really is do we have to wait at the ticket window for it to open tell like 10 or does it open earlier.

If your friend is buying a season pass, you won't be using the Magnum gate. If they are buying a day pass, you'll be OK. They sometimes open the gates early. I think you'd be fine getting there even at 8:30.
