I've had plans made since last year opening day, lol. Third straight opening weekend. Staying at Breakers Express again to enjoy the hot tub the night before, lol. I cannot wait any longer, 21 days, 12 hours, 17 minutes and 4 seconds untill I head down there from Detroit Michigan. I CAN'T WAIT!!
Can't wait for 07 season!
You guys are referring to the thirsty pony. And if you are planning on going there you will have a blast. They have off track gambling for northfield park there. they have excellent pizza. And they also have a bowling alley (First game free, ask server for coupon). Me and my wife go there almost everytime we are at the point and we also go a few times during the winter. There price is comparible to applebee's.
Hope that helped

I'm assuming that Perimeter Rd. is vehicles only, no pedestrians, right? If you can walk along Perimeter Rd. I'll try to make it up to the Pavilions for a few minutes in the morning seeing as I'll be at Skyhawk at one with a group of friends. If not, well, I'll see you all in the park.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
No pedestrians on Perimeter road is correct. But if you are staying on Point, you could always take the shuttle.

What time is the A.M meeting?
I will not be heading to the 1 meeting as I plan on riding at that point.

We should get to Sandusky around 8-9 on Friday night. Depending on how the day goes, and traffic on 75.
I'll talk it over with Matt, we planned on eating dinner once we got there anyways. i know he doesn't wanna make it a late night though, gotta get that pre coaster beauty rest!
For sure-- although their is a strange thrill to hopping on MF first thing in the morning when your fall down hung over... got rid of the stomach pains really fast.
I can't wait for opening weekend! This will be my third year with a season pass and going on opening day.
It is perfect time because the week before I have final exams and then that next week I will be at CP!
I think its an awesome idea to do a breakfast and lunch meeting, since I don't think I could manage to get up at 5 in the morning. So in that case, I will stop by at lunch! I'll probably have about 3 other people with me, so add us 4!
So I believe that makes the

Im sure someone has asked this question already, but how reliable are the rides on opening day? Is there alot more downtime on opening day than normal? *** Edited 4/18/2006 3:07:25 PM UTC by my name is sean***

I have never been to a CP opening day, But have been to opening days elsewhere. Of course the crews/staff are not yet up to speed, but I have not seen more mechanical problems.
Visiting CP in May and then again in September is interesting. There are many changes that can been seen. I think I enjoy the May trips more than the September ones. The employees have more energy and are more willing to please in May. In the fall, it seems like they just want to get out of there.

Yeah, mechanical issues don't really seem to be a big problem on opening day. CP tests all their rides lots before the actual day.

It just occured to me that since were not eating till 1PM, I'll have to keep the hot dogs cold at the proper temperature. We own a small cooler and will put them in there so it won't be a problem. However, nobody likes to drink warm pop and we don't own a huge cooler to pack them, so if anyone would like to volunteer for the drinks that would be cool!

Thanks MrScott, too bad you can't join us.
With just 15 days to go we really need to know about how many are planning to be there in the morning and 1:00 gathering. It would be nice to know by the Wednesday before so those of us bringing stuff can plan on how much to bring. Can we start a new head count please and keep up with it til opening day? Thanks.
