What Would You (Realistically) Like To See @ Cedar Point in the Future

I realize it's trollish to spread rumors. All hatred is well deserved. I still say you had to be there, if you would have talked to the guy, you would have believed him, I promise you that.

No, I wouldn't have. Well, unless he were a high-level employee. Everything you heard in that "rumor" has been posted here countless times, going back a quite a while.

Was he wearing a cape? Don't ever trust a man in a cape...

Did he have a lazy eye and smell of lemons? I hear your not suppose to trust those kinds of people too. ;)

And if it's such a common theory posted "countless" times, (which I have yet to see) why is it so unbelievable?

Because it's high on the "I want" list. So people tend to reiterate at any and every chance they get that they want this kind of ride to happen.

And I would tend to go with dj on this because you can't actually say for sure that he, I or anyone else here would believe this guy if we talk directly to him. At the very least, he's very good at making rumors.

The only way I'd believe such a rumor is if it were posted here by someone who has been proven reliable in the past, or upon reading Cedar Point's press release (or any official CF dissemination, obviously).

I can't possibly fight off this onslaught, I'm done guys, I said take it for what it's worth.

I can say this, I met the guy at a bar on Friday night, he found out we were going to KI all weekend and he hooked us up big time Saturday at the park, he gave me his cell # and we met up again Saturday night for drinks with he and his wife.

I, in no way, wanted to invest this much into his statement, just take it for what it's worth, which is somewhere between nothing and a drop in the bucket.

And that's what were doing. We're not trying to make fun of you or give you a hard time. You just got to understand that all we can do is, like you said, take it for what it's worth and be skeptical. It's just a bit confusing when it sounded like you were insisting that what he said to you is 100% believable but then go around saying to take it for what it's worth.
Sure, what anyone says within the realm of possibility could be considered believable, but what one anonymous man said to you isn't more believable to us than the same rumor/speculation that's already been going around for some time. Like I mentioned, he might have been a really good storyteller and just wanted to strike up a nice conversation.....we don't know we weren't there.

So we appreciate your input but we're not 100% convinced. It's nothing to get bent out of shape over, it's just how things work around here with us veteran posters. :)

I had a guy who worked at CP tell me the Maverick was going to have backwards trains. All because of the sign that said something like "We are taking this in the other direction". Dont trust people. ;)

I'm wondering more about why a seasonal at KI would have inside knowledge to what's being put in at CP.

That right there just doesn't add up.

Just because an argument is valid, doesn't mean the argument is sound. ;)

^^I met a kid just like that at KI. They claim to have close friends at all parks since Cedar Fair took over. Most of the stuff he was saying was a load anyway. ;)

Those were awesome. I remember them vividly now. I don't know if I would ride them all that often anymore, but it added to the excitement of just getting to the park way back when. Something about them completed the atmosphere for me.

Anyway, the seatbelts on the intamin rides do need to be longer, because they keep making them shorter and shorter and shorter.....so I guess you have to be a twig to ride MF, TTD, and so forth.....

The beach will probably never be used over by the parking lot area, as long as DT sits there being used for storage, then we won't be seeing any change......except the trees getting bigger and more dead seagulls.............

After the end of the day, I think I need a tram too!! Especially if there were cushioned seats and relaxing music. :) Anyone wanna feed me grapes while we're at it?

In all seriousness- trams might be a nice consideration in the future.

Kings Island was the perfect coaster fix for me! Have you ridden Diamondback before? We rode it 12 times last weekend. I'm convinced I like it more than Maverick, I'm actually starting to think I like it more than Millennium *looks around embarrased*.

I see a lot of places that aren't exactly where the real entrances are, mantis and dragster to name a few. Also, did they take the demon drop out already? I don't see it still on there.

The only entrance I see incorrectly marked is Dragster. Mantis' is in precisely the correct spot.
