The final picture looks like it will be the final turn, then station, then launch/lift.

I THINK IT'S GOING TO BE A LAUNCH COASTER INTO A 270- FOOT HILL, DROP INTO A 160- FOOT LOOP & SWING AROUND THE CORNER INTO A TIGHT CURVE, THEN COME BACK WITH A COUPLE OF BUNNY HOPS WITH ANOTHER TIGHT TURN INTO THE STATION! HAHAHA!
(just kidding. i have no friggin clue)

On a lighter note... while I was taking photos of the park I decided to take the paddle wheel excursions for a ride. It was captained by captain Sam, and we had a little chat. When he saw my camera he asked what I was planning on taking pictures of, and I told him the Project07. Then I asked... "What do you think is going there?" Then he gave me the funniest most elaborate description of what was going there... A new Pavillian decorated with these huge rollercoaster pieces where they will specialize in seafood... and he went on and on. I was laughing so hard, it was actually pretty funny. He also come to PointBuzz once in a while so that was cool too.
not goin to make a new post or anythin...
but for a wild shot, the name should be final destination. The colors of the track and supports almost match in the movie. Not the actual supports or track just the colors. Or whatever the name of the ride was. Just getting on the guessing train which everyone has an idea of some sorts.
Go tigers!!!!!!!!!!!
fozzy, I hope CP is smart enough not to name a ride after a really, really, REALLY crappy movie.
They made a big mistake in the movie. The coaster crashed because the kid let go of the camera, but the kid got off, so why did the ride crash???

That sure is a sharp turn!
I just want to make sure everyone sees the difference between the supports. I have 2 supports circled in the following pic. The one with spines on the back of the mount is for mounting track to at a sharp angle. The one without spines is to attach another support to or mount track that isn't going to have a lot of force on it at a great angle.
Keep this in mind when viewing pictures of the site.

That's not accurate Loopy. Track can (and IS) attached to both of those supports. Check out this picture of Speed Monster.
I guess I didn't make myself clear in my last post.
If the angle of the track attaching to the support is beyond a certain degree they will add the spines to the back of the mount. If you view the pic I posted again you'll see how the one in the foreground has a small angle in relation to the support stretching to the ground. Where the one in the background has a larger angle in relation to the lower support.

Ride on, MrScott!
In addition...you'll see in the link you posted that the mount with spines does not have a support that stretches to the ground.

While I was getting my update today, they were putting up a few more supports, and working on the footers behind the WWL station. They have also begun to dig up a section somewhat near the pond. It seems like they might just be begining footers there.
I also got some pictures of the strange track posted yesterday. There are actually more than what can be seen in the images posted here. Some of the flat track also has some interesting shiny ends to it. Very difficult to explain, but it's all flat track.
There also seem to be a few points in the ride where there will be some very close headchoppers. Of course, that might just be how it appears now. Anyways, take this all for what it's worth.

I belive this is the Picture of where the Pond is going to be... Is this what you are talking about? Yes, it looks that way, I would say its at least 12 feet deep too...
Yes. Sorry, the swan pond. They are digging by the swan pond. :)

DBCP, the best way to describe what you saw on the flat track is that it's for a transfer track or a moving section of track. It's flat track with a hole in the middle of it, right? I saw a pic of it on point pixels. The hole is where the locking piston goes in. You can even see the brace that will hold the locking piston.
Here's an example:
The locking piston
The brace
So it's either for transfer, or for a moving section of track.
