I hope I get to see a tall crane soon!
Don't squeeze your cheeks together too tight. You won't be seeing that tall crane that you're hopiing for.

Whoa, Aaron, I feel like you just solved one of the many mysteries of this construction and no one even realized. In you first link you posted as well as here, http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=1277 you can definately see the resemblance between Wicked Twister's launch and the odd looking piece of track that everyone has been talking about. The track pieces look much more alike than those on California Screamin.' There are even sections that can be seen in the picture without their electromagnets that allow for a near perfect look. I now personally believe that this coaster will be using LIM or possibly LSM technology. Amazing that the answer was right in front of us!Matt *** Edited 7/29/2006 3:01:49 PM UTC by Matthew86***
And this piece is curved so we can expect it to not be a flat launch. Excellent! Now the only question is... Is this the beginning? or somewhere in the middle?

It looks to me like this section of track will be for a brake run. These pieces have slots in them where brake fins could fit into, or is it for something else?

The track on WT and the track in the staging area do look strikingly familier(SP?) I think that we will have a LIM Launch/Lift. A LIM lift sounds awesome.
And, In case anyone cares Kinzel was at Castaway bay today.

Steve4Hockey, those slots are for sensors.

That flat track is for either a switch track or transfer.....though my bet is switch track.
Here's my example....
The tracks all have:

Dual station comes to mind.

It could be a dual station. But, keep in mind, that identical flat track exists on TTD as seen here: http://pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=2154 *** Edited 7/30/2006 4:13:14 AM UTC by halltd***
Transfer track seems more plausable to me. Especialy since the pieces in the staging area are straight and not curved.

Adam take a look at this.

Seems that we might have a match.

It's the same piece, just a different angle.

There is a cut out in the steel plating that is on the top of that piece of track, and is, as far as I can tell, shaped and placed in the same manner as the switch track shown on KK, except for angle, as the KK track is curved, and this is straight.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
