Josh, Tylenol won't help. Just take that picture in your sig, and turn that thing on yourself. ;)

I'm sort of new to CP but I've been watching this coaster pretty closely.

I know you realized that this could be a brake run or a launch. I'm going to go out on a limb and say its neither. I'm going to say its a splash down. Sheikra does the same thing, comes from a turn, down, splash, up, turn again.
It would be impossible for this to be a brake run that was a block section because its lower then the track surrounding it, and if it was thats just bad coaster desiging. It probably couldnt be a launch either becuase there isnt much of a difference in the heights of the track coming in and out of the low section.
Just my two cents.
EDIT: Image # 105 from the newest point pixels update at the project seems to be a hill. *** Edited 7/28/2006 4:18:29 PM UTC by HOYS***

I give up.It's the same thing over and over again. Jugga, can I have some of your tylenol?
I said it was worth a shot. I didn't mention it would involve one to the head. ;)
I cant remember due to old age....but did people read this much into stuff when raptor was being built or mantis?
coming in 1994: Raptor "hey its named raptor...it must be jurassic park themed!...dont know if anyone has mentioned that yet"
coming in 1996: Banshee "Banshee! Hey guys i just looked up what banshee is and I think its gonna have invisible track just like a ghost.....at least thats what the guy scraping gum off of rapters station told me! And then it was confirmed by the guy cleaning the mirrors in the bathroom near where the ride is being built so I know its true!"
Maybee instead of reading into what those signs mean, we should just realize they are marketing items! When you go to a grocery store, and see a pack of gum that says "now longer lasting flavor" do you say "its longer...the gum must be bigger!" ?
So here is my assesment of what the signs mean.
Back up bronco this heres a construction zone: DO NOT ENTER THIS IS A CONSTRUCTION ZONE
Get ready for some serious sidewindin:We are trying to get you excited.
Hold on to your spurs:We are trying to get you excited.

Its part of CBS evening news. So either 6:30 or 7 (I don't remember what time CBS:EN is on)
J2k95 - I could believe you, but Al Gore hadn't invented the internet yet in 1994, and it was only slightly beginning to gain acceptance in 1996 (just in time for a re-election). So that's why this type of stuff didn't happen with those coasters.
I agree with your sign analysis.

That was actually a great idea. I don't think anyone else has even suggested that yet either. Congrats on thinking outside the box.
Although I agreed with you when I read the post, after I checked out the pic, I'd have to disagree. If you look closely, the valley of that is already there since that one footing closest to the camera is starting back up again. Since the area around the footings is already graded, I doubt there will be a water feature at the low point.
Again, great idea though. :)

Woodstock Express uses a tire-drive system on its lift, the same as Hulk. WE moves at pretty much a constant rate whereas Hulk is an almost constant acceleration up the hill.
Having just gottren back from Coaster Con XXIX in Florida including ERT on Hulk I belive the following to be true:
Drive Tires = Yes
Constant Acceleration = No
You are moving at what I think is a constant speed up the hill while who I can only imagine is Bruce Banner is saying something similar to this, "That's it.. I think... I think... I think it's going to work this time." And a moment or 2 later the coaster has a huge acceleration over the hill and through the first inversion.

It's possible that there will be more supports attached to the end of those. It's not set in stone that that's where the track will mount. I think everyone forgets that they can extend the support with another piece.

Ride on, MrScott!
lol at the "insert random western sign"
there should be one that says:
you only have to ask yourself one question: are you reading too much into these signs? well...punk, are you?
Owner, Gould Photography.
Jason - I've never been on Hulk (unfortunately), I was just going from what I thought it would be. So basically, you move part way up the hill at a constant rate, and then when the spiel is done it speeds up and accelerates the rest of the way? Sounds like it'd be fun.

Um... I guess you've been living in a closet or something for the past, um... 7 months or so, but ever since work was being done in the swan boats pond, the subject of a splashdown has been brought up at least once a day. Also, would it make ANY sence to have the splashdown closest to the main path and the station all the way in the back where the trains are? I think Project '07 has completely made people forget a little known thing called: LOGIC. The station will most likely be near the main path, where there ARE already footers and supports in a straight line.
In responce to the "odd peice of track" everyone is wtf-ing to, we established in the July 25th update thread that it will be part of an LSM or LIM launch or hill, but apparently everyone here who "reads as much as everyone else (ya, right)" had to be told it. People REALLY need to start reading before they post as it is pointless to have thread after thread of, "WTF IS THAT TRACK!?!?!?!11" when it was already answerd.
Also, the people who are saying that they have read as much as everyone else, just stop already, because it just makes it OBVIOUS that you haven't.
