The bushes only hold so many tall boys. I be drinkin the bushes dry before twilight. Staggering through the brush at dark is always risky proposition anyhow.
Sit tight fellas ;) Tall boys are chilling in the bushes.
Not sure if this has been mentioned here before but why are the support columns rusted on the bottom couple of feet? Water damage from being in storage? Or is it just colored to look like rust as part of the original design?
I am naively hoping it is part of some moniker of theming for the ride.
Promoter of fog.
It's paint. There are some pictures floating around (I forget where, sorry) of some support columns being painted brown-ish, and others being painted green-ish, in both cases near the bottom of the supports. So it does seem to be theming.

I think the brown at the bottom is a really cool effect tbh. I also think CP realizes they have like 4 rides with the same color scheme at this point and wanted to do something minor to try and differentiate.
I noticed the discoloring, but I figured it was some sort of temporary tarnish. But I haven’t really been looking at it too hard.

It's part of the theming...remember the ride is themed to being in a ship yard...
"The Siren's Call
You’ll hear the echo of the siren's chilling melodies as you ascend an old 160-foot-tall Lake Erie shipping crane tower, the sounds growing more sinister as you reach the top. Your fate will hang in the balance as you encounter the roller coaster’s signature moment: a dead stop on a “broken off” section of track. The creaking platform holding your train will slowly tilt into a 90-degree vertical position, forcing you to peer straight down with the hope your train will connect to the twisted track below."
Can’t wait to yeet off that sawed off track bruh

Saw several trains testing today, I wasn’t that excited about this ride when it was announced. But after seeing it in person and watching the trains in action I think this is going to be a great addition to the park. It will be interesting to see the final landscaping around the ride. The rust and algae paint on the supports are looking good, especially vs typical Cedar Point theming.
They should paint on some Canadian Soliders. To make it look super realistic. And to not look so bad when the real Canadian soldiers arrive.

Did they have any of the train lighting or sound effects in place for the testing yet? I'm still curious if the onboard audio will be sounds/music themed to ride elements, or if they plan on doing a ride-long narrative or vocal songs.
I didn’t notice any lights on the train and didn’t hear any music either. It is a rather loud area so it is possible the on ride audio was working and I simply didn’t hear it. We saw the testing from in front of the train station as well as the Millennium Lounge, I was surprised at how quiet the ride was. Didn’t even hear the lift hill from the lounge area. Then again next to Rougarou a 747 taking off seems pretty quiet.
It amazes me the amount of people who I've seen thinking that the park installed actual rusted supports because of the paint job on them, lol.
News reports are Christopher Nolan will be filming the siren scenes from his new film there before it opens.

I saw some people speculating that there may be some kind of water feature/pond added around those supports to add to the theming.

They are close to the tunnel location so it'd be a good spot to dump the water they pump out of there. The rust details look very realistic, at least from afar. I also like the haphazard look of the roofing and siding on the buildings as well. Based upon these details I am looking forward to seeing the final landscaping around the ride, I think it will be much more than some random bushes and mulch.
It was cool to watch them add weathering detail on the rides exit/gift shop during my Sunday visit. I noted to a friend of mine that I found the bright colors of the new buildings for the ride a bit distracting. As a person who is no stranger to distressing sets for haunted houses, I was pleased that my gut was right and they are distressing the colors down a shade. I'm very curious and excited for what the final product will look like.
