Record-breaking Siren’s Curse tilt coaster to lure Cedar Point thrill seekers in 2025

We got our first night ride on it last week, and it’s a completely different beast in the dark. The little details stand out, like how the lights on the train change row by row as it goes through the tunnel. There’s a similar effect when it leaves the station, which adds to the vibe. I’ve ridden in just about every row now, and the back is hands down my favorite. The initial drop back there is wild. That said, every row delivers solid airtime.

I wish the park stayed open until 11. I never got a night ride on Sirens Curse because you really only have like 40 minutes of darkness before closing. It is absolutely beautiful to look at though. But such a shame that you don’t have a few hours to appreciate the lights.

I spent all my night time in frontier town riding the two rivals. But if I had the extra time I’d absolutely have gone over to Millie and Sirens Curse.

Wait till the fall! Long nights, cool weather, sweatshirts! Gonna be awesome

(sorry this is lengthy, bear with me please
Have Siren's Curse's restraints become harder to get the green light for larger guests? I'm CONVINCED they have:
I am pretty large, but can just fit on pretty much everything. I've lost a LOT of weight last year. Over 100 pounds. I rode SC on passholder preview day, and I had a gentleman sitting next to me, who was significantly larger than I was. We both were however able to ride, and I had been singing the ride's praises about being accommodating. His lap bar was significantly higher than mine. Like if I would have sat in his seat you could have fit a baseball between me and where his lap bar was.
Fast forward to now, I've lost another 10-18 pounds since then depending on how I'm fluctuating on a particular day. But the last few times I've ridden this week, I've struggled to get the green light. And even had to do the walk of shame Friday when the ride host didn't really try to help me in and just said "yeah it's not happening" And I had already ridden it twice that day. I rode 3 times today and had a ride host say to me, before assisting me "You're gonna need a lot more than that" before I told him "I believe in you, I've ridden it twice today and 8 times total, you can do it" and then getting me in with one good push.
Has anyone else noticed this? I still fit, but it's driving me bonkers that I weigh less and am struggling more.
I still do fit, but I'm mainly asking if anyone else who is borderline fitting noticed that it's become more difficult recently, because I've had multiple people ask me for advice about riding as a larger guest, and I had been saying that it was pretty accommodating, and I don't want to be giving bad advice. I fit on every other coaster by the way, JUST BARELY on Mine Ride, but I managed today.

Interesting. I’ve nothing to add because I’ve ridden only once and fit, and had some slack in the belt. I’ll have to ride again and compare. Not unheard of for adjustments to be made to ride restraints or safety systems

First, congrats on the weight loss. Second, this is really strange. Those restraints seem to be really giving and flexible; as you have lost weight do you think how you are carrying your current weight has changed? But you said you still fit into everything else so that doesn't seem rational.

Yeah, the belt still buckles the same, but it seems they have to close the restrains further now in order to get the green light. How I'm carrying my weight might have changed, but on Passholder Preview I had my lap bar significantly lower than the guy next to me, so I don't see it having changed THAT much.

But I'm just one anecdote, so I can't be sure.

As the other guy said congratulations on the loss! It’s easy to put on but no small task to get it off. I fit just fine on Sirens Curse despite having a Santa belly. I have very broad shoulders too so I was a little worried. Although thankfully I was blessed with a small waist, I think that really helps.

That’s strange that it seems to have changed for you all in the same season :/

I’m sorry about that I hope you can figure it out. 100 pounds though… hold your head high!

Something I haven't seen anyone else mention, there's a couple things in the queue that are repurposed from old rides, but the one that really stood out to me, is the sound they are playing right after the metal detectors.

I'm 99 percent sure it's the same soundtrack from the Disaster Transport queue. From the repair bay.

That’s very interesting. What were some other repurposed things you noticed?

The crane from Snake River Falls

Went on Siren’s Curse for the first time. Wow! Was I surprised! This is my top 3 with Maverick and Steel Vengeance. What a fun, wholesome experience and a great whippy layout. 10 out 10. On a side not, finally got on TT2 also. Very fun ride, but will definitely miss the launch on Dragster. But that blue train was swaying side to side A LOT throughout the entire ride and was even violently vibrating as it was making the turn back into the station at the end.

I received the opportunity to ride for the first time on Wednesday. Unfortunately, my main piece of feedback is the (extremely slow) pace of the line. We were barely into the switchbacks (maybe a row or two) and waited 60 minutes. I cannot imagine how many hours a full queue would be. However, very well-done on the queue! It is defintely the best at the park.

Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!

Agree. Safety first but this was by far the slowest feeling locker required ride there was. Even in fast lane I felt I was wading through quicksand to actually jump the line.

A downside to the fast lane is you don’t really get to see all the nice little theming touches in the regular queue. And especially it diving under the bridge

The queue was nearly full on Passholder Preview and it was 2 hours 45 minutesish of a wait.

The fact that it only runs 2 trains is the single biggest tell that it wasn't designed for Cedar Point. I'm pretty sure it could physically accommodate a third train, and they definitely should invest in one if it remains a popular ride. Which I expect it to. I'm not sure what the block layout is but if station is a block, the lift is a block, the tilt track is a block, and the course to the brake run is a block, then it could possibly run a third. Even having a third train just for when one train needs to be taken off would be a big help. Because right now if anything happens to either train, you are down to one train operation.
