All the pictures and media coverage have really made me excited to go ride this. I have to admit that the job they did fitting this in to an area that was previously a rather crappy looking section of the park and adding little touches of theme really make it feel like the ride was made for Cedar Point all along even though we know that's not the case. Looks smooth with lots of airtime and other nice elements. I really hope the quality of new ride areas going forward doesn't decline now that they've supposedly canned the entire planning and design department. They really have done a nice job over the past decade plus with this not only at CP, but other parks too.
I noticed there are quite a lot of brakes at the end and it looks like you could stop a train before the curve back into the station and also immediately behind the station after the curve. So I was kind of wondering if there is any chance they could, technically, add a third train to this? The ride seems to take about 2 minutes and 30 seconds for a single train to make it all the way around from dispatch to stopping again back in the station so by my calculations, assuming a 60 second unload/load time which is pretty typical for other coasters at at CP, the optimal interval (dispatch to dispatch) will be somewhere around 105 seconds with the two trains for a max capacity of 822 riders per hour. If they had three trains, they could cut it down somewhat although I don't think they could get all the way down to 75 or 80 seconds because of the tilt needing to return to position. I'm not sure if they'd ever program it so aggressively as to start a train up the lift before that tilt is finished getting back in position although it seems like it would be possible.

Honestly, this is one of the best all-around rides at the park. The drop feels like a true old-school freefall with that stomach-in-your-throat moment , not the more calculated feel you get on Valravn. The rest of the layout is nonstop. It’s not the most intense ride, but the back seat gives you some great airtime and wild moments. Short ride, but it packs in a ton.
Theming-wise, it’s probably the best CP has ever done — the lighting, paint, and sound all hit. Capacity is okay, with no loose articles they dispatch as fast as allowed. The free locker system finally is set up well, and the trains are super comfortable.
This isn’t your granddad’s Vekoma. It’s butter-smooth and just plain fun. Honestly, I’d take it over any of the B&Ms in the park.

Matt, I was thinking the same while watching it from inside the station. But, given the block setup and brake run/train length, I would say that it can't safely operate with 3 trains.
I will also just echo the general consensus of the ride. Super smooth, super fun and lots of poppy airtime. This is going to be an absolute home run for the park.

From what I've seen the ride looks awesome. I wonder if any of the fatter people were able to get on. But I'll probably try to ride it in a month since car trouble and going back to college in a few days.

Work harder, seagulls! You need to push Cedar Point into the sun!

Yeah, with how much of the infield is made up of low zone, the ride's location adjacent to midway, RR infield, and a road, and therefore the lack of landscaping opportunities, there was a real risk of this of this ending up as a "parking lot coaster". That they leaned into and leveraged those characteristics with the shipyard theme is pretty clever. They put in landscaping/vegetation seemingly wherever they could, which is fantastic, and including the water feature makes the ride feel cohesive given the area's proximity to the marina and bay. Very well done especially given what they had to work with.
Regarding trains, it would be nice to at least have a third train available to swap in when needed even if only two can run at the same time. Because if one train goes offline, it's going to be pretty rough in terms of capacity.

There was even this guy flying his drone over there.
I can confirm that my drone flying is purely of the amateur, seemingly morally questionable, and most importantly made up nature, so I cannot take credit for this. But look how far we've come. Hopefully we get some cool footage of the new ride. And I guess of the new bathroom? But exterior only please... #Blessed.

To echo what others have side. Siren's Curse is a very fun ride with some nice elements. Theming is very well done (particularly for Cedar Point--hoping they maintain it). People often stood and watched the Top Thrill Dragster launch. I think the tilt on Siren's Curse may provide a similar spectator attraction. It really does feel like you are beyond vertical.
I had not heard there was a passholder's preview event today until someone mentioned it last night.
I think I finally get how the interlock works to lower the front bumper, after seeing some closeup video. There are rods that appear to enter the big structural bits of the "seesaw" on both sides. As it appears that there are two pistons (or some kind of rods) that lower the bumper, my assumption is that the rods engaging the seesaw release some kind of mechanical bits that allow the bumper to lower. If that's the case, that would make it both a mechanical interlock that can't be engaged in any position other than vertical, and it's redundant.

That bit doesn't hold the train (it folds in toward the train)... there's a "claw" at the back of the track that holds and releases. The bumper at the front is the failsafe.

I will say that Siren's Curse exceeded my expectations. It is a fantastic ride. Easily a top 5 roller coaster at Cedar Point. Cedar Point has a history of building coasters that are custom designed to fit the space they have, so my expectations for fitting in a ride that was not even originally intended for Cedar Point were a bit low. But the ride delivers. The tilt is more fun than I had been expecting. The rest of the ride is very smooth and fast paced with lots of pops of strong airtime. The vest restrains are possibly the most comfortable vest-style restraints out there. Plus, this is the first major coaster addition with a 48" height requirement since 1991. (Millennium Force had a taller height requirement when it opened in 2000. They reduced it to 48" in 2001.) So it will fit lots of guests. Overall, Cedar Point has a real winner on their hands.
