Hard to say for certain since we dont know if Vekoma has "released" the ride to the park and how long the process is from that point. But after seeing the current state of the site the other day, I would say there's still a few weeks of ground work to do outside of ride testing. No doubt they could kick arse over the next 2 weeks but I would bet a middle to late June opening is likely. Would love to be proved wrong though.

I agree with what Adam said. Coastermania is looking dicey. I'd say 50% chance at best and if I were going to bet money, I'd probably bet against it. If they pull it off, the attendees will probably literally be riding it on the first day it's open. At this point, the ride is testing pretty regularly during the day and has gone from really slow/very intensely watched testing of the tilt with no train a week or so ago to full tilt (hehe), full speed testing with at least one train the last couple of days. I could not tell if they had both trains on the track at the same time from behind the walls and I wasn't observant enough to spot any difference between the trains they were sending so either it was the same train or they look very similar. I assume its still Vekoma doing the testing and that it hasn't been turned over to Cedar Point yet. After that happens, I would think they'd have to do some operations training for at least a day or two. There is also some cycle requirement (500 per train?) required before state inspections and I'm not sure if what is being done by Vekoma counts toward that. Maybe it does, but if it doesn't, they will need a couple days for that. There also does appear to be a good amount of site work remaining although I know Cedar Point can get that sort of stuff done amazingly fast at the end of a project.

They not only removed the shrubbery that once concealed the tall boys, they replaced them with a drink stand where cold ones must be paid for. The other side is cunning and viscous in the response to alcohol not paid for at the park. We must remain vigilant and think outside the box to overcome this obstacle.
^^ I was also unsure about how many trains they were running until today. Several folks asked me if I saw both running and honestly I didn’t even know what colors the 2 trains were.
Looks like we will be diving into the water on this ride, however I cannot confirm or deny the fog and full feature length movie to be shown prior to entry into the tunnel.
Maybe its just the angle of these photos but color me skeptical that there's going to be a water feature here. It looks like there might be what a foot or two below grade excavated? Plus the road being right there without much of a berm built up to retain any sort of water? Happy to be wrong I guess but If they were putting in a pond up against the road I would've thought they'd put in a permanent retaining wall of some sort.
I had a feeling the crates I saw on Sunday were the second train. Shouldn't take all that long to assemble and get it cycling. Wonder if they'd open it with just one train while the other is still being commissioned. They more than likely intend to open with 2 so I could see this being another nail in the "operating by Coatermania" coffin.

Long time lurker here…
I got a good view of the site from the Sunrise Tour this weekend on top of Valravyn. From the looks of it the water feature will wrap all around the tunnel and nearly all the way up to the midway along the bathroom / MF side of the ride. Basically anywhere there is the green seaweed painted on the supports. I believe the drop will be over the water or close to it. Dock and wharf theming looks real cool.
