I bet the old station will be used for the new rides queue line. Dissapointment?, only if you were expecting a 500 footer.

We know it is Intamin track and big footers. I say aquatrax utiliizing the WWL station as a tunnel or que of sorts. You can tell by the pics it is ABSOLUTELY intamin coaster track and it is red.
I think it is aquatrax as well, but with a few tricks not seen on the one already built

I think that the station and queue remain simply just to take up space. I have a feeling that they left them there so that even though there already is a huge void, It wouldnt be that much larger, If you notice they have stakes and things in antiques and they may hit the chopping block also.
I just feel that they left the station there for filler until they need that area. Out with the old in with the new. If they were going to use the station for this supposed aquatrax..which is stupid I hate the idea of having that ride..you would be able to tell with all the utilities and things needed to be in the station.... Right now its just scrap waiting to be removed at a later date.

Thy Kingdom Come. Thy will be done
i don't think they're using the station anymore. there would be lots of work going on in there already if they were. site utilities would have already be run underground for power and sensors and stuff like that. so, we'd see SOMETHING going on in the station.
i feel like i keep repeating myself.
i dont believe that thye are re useing the wwl station, you can see fotters lined up in a straight line just like raptorman said. also, i dont believe this much time and work would be put into an aqua trax coaster, its obviously is costing alot of money to build this thing and i dont think an aqua trax would make up for it all.
I agree. I think that they simply left the station to keep some of the draw away from the site; although it doesn't help much. Kind of like the wall/fence everyone was talking about, but not an actual wall/fence.

Those large footer or concrete block sections in the pictures that Walt linked to say "station" to me. I'm surprised no one has mentiond that it seems that a stretch of the midway from Los Gatos I belive it is all the way to the train station will be ripped out. This includes the area where that small ICEE stand is, as well as a couple light poles that are in the area.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
obviously water will be involved, maybe for a themeing effect. but i dont think its gonig to be a water ride or an aqua trax. the part of the track that is shown underneath the tarp looks like the type of track they use in the station for "X". i dont know about you, but i think flying above that water would be pretty cool.
My thoughts:
IF there is a double meaning in the two-and-two thing that Tony and Tyler stated, I think it would be to put water and coasters together. If Paula (Holiday World) were posting, there would be a double meaning. However, I don't know if Tony and Tyler would put one in. They said they were going in a new direction. I believe this means the first water coaster at Cedar Point. Kinzel stated they were going to keep puting in coasters. Thus, I think this will be a water coaster.
As for construction during the season:
I suspect a big reason for this is the publicity. Cedar Point saw how much publicity they got with the construction of Dragster, and thought they would extend it for the entire season. Now, I'm not saying this is the only reason, or even the main reason, but I think this is more likely than a 500' coaster.
If water is involved, I hope there is a water splash like Shiekra had.
I don't think you can hype the construction up as being publicity as much as it is that there's a lot to be done.

Look around, there is a new pic floating around clearly showing triangular intamin track. This will not be a 4D.

I still say that picture is fake.
Because Cedar Fair has been building B&Ms like crazy over the last few years. Then switch back to Intamin after all the MF and TTD problems? That sounds very odd.
What obligations would Cedar Point have to follow suit with all the other parks?
Different parks, different markets, different rides.
Well, Sheikra has certainly has its share of problems, and the AquaTrax in Korea recently had a death on it. Neither ride impresses me.
With CP's current new ride reliability troubles, I wouldn't mind if it were something less innovative and groundbreaking, and just more novel in design (i.e. fun). You know, the roller coaster greats like John Miller, Herbert Schmeck, or Prior and Church just used the existing technology combined with novel elements to design exciting and different coasters. No 500-fters, of course, but if it don't run, what's the attraction anyway?
Those straight sections don't say "station" to me. Because they are so large I think they must be designed for more stress, like the bottom of hill 1 on Millie. Also note that there are TWO sets, as if the track were going to pass itself there.
I got nothin'.
Yeah, I didn’t get the feeling of a station when I saw them either. The way they’re making some of these footers really suggests something big (not necessarily a 500 footer). And I don’t think that a water ride would need these kinds of footers anyway.

What's wrong with Sheikra? I absolutely loved it when I was there in March. You won't see another dive machine installed for a few more years anywhere in the US though.
