Project 2007 Blog Update

Did anyone else notice the fencing material ie: slotted primed plywood, 2x4's and finish rough saw lumber on the site today? Hopefully they aren't putting up a big fence like they did for dragster...

The train definitely gave the best view, in my opinion. The one sign that still gets me is the one that reads, "we're heading in a whole new direction".

It will be great to see the project grow throughout the season.

I could not believe how much my wife and I overheard people talking about "the new 500 foot coaster" that is coming.

That 500' talk is enough reason that CP shouldn't wait too terribly long to make an announcement.

Brandon

can some one provide the link to the webstite that shows the logs from WWL stacked up on property?

hmmm... plywood.

Station?

Brandon

Walls, paths over mud, Plywood rides... even a bathroom.

I bet its ether a station or a housing for some kind of launching system or something.

Walls: Doubtful, because they'd likely have already built them.

Paths over mud: Doubtful, because they'd just use OSB or something similarly cheap.

Plywood rides: Doubtful, because splinters hurt a lot.

Bathroom: Possible.

Brandon

I meant walls for a station or even temp shelter for workers/equipment.

Plywood rides are awesome... Puny splinters can't hurt me.

Devil, thats like the fifth time I have heard some form of launching being mentioned. I'm starting to lean a little.

No launch.

Brandon

Launch, wait until you see the construction site.

Here's a bit of "clarification" on some of my previous comments:

I have stated a few times that Jeff has said that Project 2007 would make "all" of us happy. Over at CBuzz, he clarified that remark by saying:

No, I said enthusiasts will probably be disappointed.

So, I suppose my earlier statements were quite misleading. Though I don't think this will shed anymore light on the situation.

Brandon

We have to keep in mind the signs... that are pointing to hints...

"We're going in a whole new direction"

That could be several things... I think we are going UNDERGROUND or UNDERWATER somehow... i dunno my .32 :) I love the fact that everyone has a different idea of what 07 is gonna be... :) Whatever it is... its gonna be cool. :)

All I have to say is wow after looking at the former site of what was once White Water Landing. It's hard to believe that there is even footers in the swan pond. This is definately going to be a coaster! Those footers are big, but to me they don't look big enough to be a record breaking 500 foot coaster. I think after looking at the footers I think this will be a water coaster. I mean because you have to think with the station still in tact the way it is, it's obvious that they will use the station and create a good long layout of this ride. I think it will probably be a longer version of Sheika, I don't know about Height, but in my opinion it will be longer.

With the statement Jeff made about disapointed, I would tend to think it would be a Roller Soaker or something similar that would be a family type water ride to replace WWL.

No more Roller Soakers! I absolutely despise those things. I wish they would just vanish.

Arguing with a coaster enthusiast is like wrestling with a pig in mud. After a while, you realize the pig enjoys it.

Its not a roller soaker, its not a setpoint, it IS an intamin.....what kind, I have a good guess. Look around the net a bit, there is some new information ;)

In the town hall museum, me and my GF were looking at the old model of WWL and the guy working in their said to me that the station for WWL was the first on the list to be demolished. They left it there because they don't know what they were gonna do with it. Now i know its just an employee talking, but he was older, seemed like he had been there for many years. Wasn't a red tag by any means... so i dono, i think they'll leave the station for the theme of frontier trail only, i really don't think they'll use it at all. You can see whe ur standing by the ICEE stand by Mean streak a bunch of footers in a direct straight line, 2 by 2 for about 30 feet. I have a feeling that will be the station. Water coaster?-no. 500 footer?-no, launched?- possible, and honestly a dissapointment if so.
