That's like the old style of racers. I think the Kennywood Racer is like that. From my understanding, they create a mess when it comes to blocking. Plus, it'd always require a full crew, and you'd always have to run both sides.

Stop (please). It is what it is, plus the piece in question is slightly curved. For those that have been to the point this weekend, what shape are the footers making (compact, "L" shaped, out and back)?
After seeing the link to the Ball Coaster and seeing the track pics I have a feeling we might be seeing an Intamin Ball Coaster. The clues kinda point to it the only thing im confused about is the footers and then the layouts Intamin has designed, not saying new designs couldn't be made. The clues i think are kinda pointing towards it...put two and two together, four people in one set of cars or whatever you call it facing away from each other. Also the clue about going in a whole new direction...the thing that makes a 4-D a 4-D is all about the change of directions and the out of control feeling. Also just the name in genral...Maverick means something out of control, 4-D are pretty much out of control. I really don't want an aquatrax though.
There's a lot of pages, so it might have already been said but.....
There's signs that say "we're going in a new direction"
and if you put 2 and 2 together, you get 4.
So, of course, it is most certainly an Intamin 4-D. :-D
Eh, I guess it's a possibility but hey. One thing I'm certain of is that it is Intamin, and it's a shade of red.

Let's break it down.....
The sheer amount of comments submitted to OnPoint in the past few weeks regarding Project 2007 has been mind-boggling.
This is not Attraction 2007 but Project 2007. This would signify the theming that everyone is talking about. Not to mention the multiple ride theory.
Something tells us you’re looking for more info.
We have some.
Well, we actually have it all.
However, we’re going to let you be the detective. As you visit the park this summer, put “two and two together,” so to speak.
2 and 2 together? Hmm....a 4-D?, 4 simultanious trains?, a 4 passenger train?....
See if you can figure it all out.
We have two rules:
1. We will not answer any questions regarding Project 2007.
2. If you see us on the midway this summer, bribing us with free food will not get us to spill the beans!
So, enjoy Skyhawk and the 2006 summer season (and take notes)!
We’ll wrap things up with a few words of wisdom: The path always taken is not necessarily the best.
Everyone knows the quickest path to anything is a straight line. However, it may not be the "best" in the sense of thrill, scenery, etc.
Why did you just re-post the blog?
There is no doubt in my mind that is Intamin Track. I saw the north Eastern Wind photo. If thats not Intamin track well then Intamin has a lawsuit on their hands.
It is Intamin track. Not that there should have ever been a doubt, especially after the infamous "Wind" picture.

Take it easy on the !'s mate. They're an endangered species that require our conservation. There's no need to use 6 when only one will get the point across. Remember only you can protect them from extinction.

Goodbye MrScott

Since this coaster(?) is already at a water site, maybe something similar to Shiekra.....but taller. I don't know anything about track types/supports etc. so just a guess. I've thought ,since seeing the spiderman ride at universal , that a coaster incorporating a 3-d scenario at the front or end of it would be interesting. has anyone done that yet?..Interesting to speculate...
the site isn't a "water site" by any means. white water landing was a water RIDE, but the site definitely isn't all water. there's a portion that's a pond, but from the footings, it doesn't look like the track will come near the water. and, there's a little "stream" on the other side of the site, but i'd hardly call it a water feature.
in one of the pictures on a cedar point pics website, i saw the cars from WWL stacked up on property. why would they have kept these?
Those Footers are Huge...and the bolt circumfrance on them Is huge..these aren't little supports that are going on to those footers.
Whats astonishing is the fact of when you see the area in person, and The train is a great perspective over the entire area. I have a feeling these next few months with be more than exciting enough to wet our whistles until the announcement
Thy Kingdom Come. Thy will be done
MrScott - I know there are footings IN the water. But, those are not the footings that would be installed if the track were going to be going THROUGH the water. That's what I meant by my post.
The new ride will be called White Water Landing - new flume, new layout, same station and que. I think this is why thay have made such a spectacle of tearing down such a loved ride.
So why did they tear it down, just to rebuild? Well of course Maverick. It was too hard to fit a coaster in to interact with WWL.
Of course - only a guess (or hope)
It's the same thing with everyhting. Like if they ever got rid of BlueStreak, they would replace it with bigger and better woodie, using that space plus maybe a bit of that parking lot(but putting grass there...)
I don't think they would get rid of BS anytime within the next 50,000 years though...
So, I guess the fact here is it's a water coaster. Out with the old, in with the new.
Yeah...

i was thinking the same thing as Spit earlier tonight. after i saw more detailed pics of the station with the ride "trough" still in place and pictures of the "logs" stacked up on property, it made me wonder. new coaster, and new white water landing, intertwined. :shrugs: :)
Did anyone else notice the white sqaures on top of the footers?
Also, did anyone notice Tatsu had white squares on top of the footers?
Hm...
