I believe this was the original policy. Then (last year?) some numb-nut decided that it would be easier if it were just the same policy across the board. However, enough people complained about it and the policy was changed back.

The policy has been changed for this year. It's mentioned here and it's listed on page 29 of the Rider Safety Guide (available for download from this page).
Grrr...OK enough about ride policy, I need my daily speculation fix about this whole thing....
Anyone have more info they think they know about what's going in there?
Bueller? Bueller?
There's a construction site where WWL used to be. There's a fence around the construction site. There are footers for a coaster there. The coaster is designed by Intamin. Its red.

I saw a trailer heading north on I-71 today hauling a front end loader. Maybe it was for CP. ;)

28
Remove number 6 because I'm pretty sure it doesn't apply to Project 2007.
So does it add up to 21 or 22 then? ;)

The 28th is a day on a certain weekend in May isn't it...~ ;)
From everyone on the CP&LE, RIP Mayor Scott...~
The 28th is the Indy 500, so are you saying they are building a replica of Indy speedway with quad dueling (2+2) rocket coasters that travel at 230 MPH?
Spent a couple hours playing in the park today, and took a ride on the train to the back of the park. On the right side of the train once you get into the construction zone, there's a new crop of signs to read as the train passes them. Note, these might not be verbatim, as I didn't bring a camera or pen and paper with me. ;)
"We're goin' in a whole new direction!" (Same as the ones near the SRF/Swan bridge)
"The winds, they are a-changin'!"
"Get ready for some serious sidewindin'!"
"Hold on to your spurs!"
The entire area from the Frontier train station up to WWL's queues has been blocked off with a wooden fence a'la Dragster, with the "Back up Bronco!" signs scattered down the wall.
But, the wall also has a sign among the Back Up Bronco signs that reads:
"Look out! There's a storm a-brewin'!"
Again, I might have a word wrong here or there (Can't remember if it was 'Look out' or 'Watch out' or something completely different), but the general idea is there of what the new signs say. There's also a lot of land-moving in the area just in front of WWL's station, where the boats used to enter/exit.
Discuss.

In light of these new signs , I think that the coaster will be themed around a tornado. all the signs seem to make sense for that, the ride could still be named maverick and be themed w/ a tornado motif.
looper!! or something with a "cyclone"-like portion. sorta like the end of the mine ride, but on steroids!! :)
