Just because theres only 1 area seeing construction now doesn't mean thats the only area seeing construction before the 2007 season. Remember how early it is, the total area for additions could in fact be much larger.
I'm pretty much disappointed about Jeff's comment that enthusiasts will be disappointed. Definately killed some excitement for me:(
Notice the trailers there that are from Adena Corporation. As stated from WAY back, go to the website, under COMMERCIAL it has Cedar Point. Notice that its under COMMERCIAL! Hmmmm, what else is CP building besides a coaster?

That could mean either a motion simulator or a shop...

the adena corporation could've just put it under commercial because CP is a commercial client. it obviously doesn't fit any of their other categories. i wouldn't read ANYTHING into that.
This is fun :)
A twister? A sidewinder (snake)? And how does "Maverick" tie into this?
And what did Walt mean by 28?
:) This is great.
I think it is going to be a floorless, because of "hold on to your spurs", meaning no where to put you feet?

oh my. thanks for allowing me to apply the dunce cap to myself halltd. :)
Seriously, a "texas twister" would mnake for a great theme for a ride. The sidewinding could refer to the layout, or a different ride altogether, as could Maverick. I wish at this point we knew how many rides/attractions were being put in, but at this point it does seem that there could be more than one.
Hmmm.
I cant wait to go back!
Like Race for the Fry said, they may be getting started this early to work and almost complete the work on the WWL area. After the season ends they very well could expand their construction into other parts of the Frontiertown/the park.

What if it turns out to be just as good as Millennium (not height just thrill). Millennium definatly does not fall in the catagory of an Intamin piece of crap (though I would'nt really call any of the Intamins pieces of crap).
Oh and who said it was "your" park??:)

So Millennium Force is a piece of crap?

We're getting played like a fiddle, exactly like TTD's construction. I'm not playing this time. ;)

I really don't want another Intamin piece of crap at my park.
Could not agree more with you.... I can not ride either milli or ttd and so to me they are just hunks of metal taking up space.... If they would extend the seat belt maybe it might change my opinon of these rides but the best is still raptor....
Well now that we know it's an Intamin...

Wow, I can't believe some people believe Intamin roller coasters are pieces of crap!
Sure the last three Intamin coasters have given the park some grief or in some cases a lot of grief but I've certainly never gotten off one of them and said, "That was a piece of crap!" Yeah, maybe adding another type of coaster such as a B&M may have caused less grief in years past because these rides have been built many times before. However, a coaster like that isn't really anything new or exciting like people are looking for now. Cedar Point is just trying to do new things, such as going to new heights with MF and Dragster, and Intamin was willing to take on the task. Unforunately, things just haven't always come out as planned.
But to me, saying these rides are pieces of crap is cruel. I don't think I'd give the best roller coaster in the world title to a piece of crap.

Maybe if you're home park was PCW, you would appreciate what CP does a little more... ass.
