I think we're all gonna be surprised, happy, excited, etc etc about 2015's upgrade! A thrill-ride aimed towards teens and other hardcore thrillsters is the plan according to CP....Wait, did I miss something? When did Cedar Point announce that? The only clue that I only recognized was during the off season Chill Out when Tony said something along the lines of we don't wanna miss next winter's off season tour. And I took that with a grain of salt.

Sorry. I looked up that information after I posted that comment and deleted it immediately. Thank you for the link though
Gatekeeper2013, I think thrill rides and coasters are on the same spectrum when talking about future additions.
Just a thought, with Rougarou roughly translating to werewolf.. Didnt CP previously have a haunt titled Werewolf Canyon where CornStalkers is now? If they eliminated a werewolf haunt, why would they add a new one?
2015 - Ride Host: Shoot the Rapids 2016 - Team Leader: Ripcord/Challenge Golf 2017 - Supervisor: Thunder Canyon 2018 - Supervisor: Camp Snoopy 2019 - Supervisor: Power Tower

They announced the two new haunts last night: Tombstone Terror-Tory and Hex Haunted House.
I an assuming that Terror-Tory will be a cowboy theming and I am not sure what Hex Haunted House is. Can you please explain the theming and what haunts are being removed for them this season?
Arms Down, Head Back, and Hold On!...Arms Down!...Arms Down......
I'm going to do a little summary of everything we know so far.
3 Trademarked names:
Rougarou
Fury
Fury 325
My guess is that Fury 325 is for the giga coaster at Carowinds. Not sure what just plain Fury is for.
Rougarou was sort of teased at during Coaster Campout with the Camp Rou and the werewolfs during the night. This may work its way into Cedar Point next year.
2 new haunts:
Tombstone Terror-Tory
Hex Haunted House
One of these is most likely going in the building by GateKeeper. The other is unknown.
Mantis has some new green paint. There's the long rumored sit down conversion, which may be a possibility for 2015 as part of a retheme, or maybe it will keep the stand up trains, and just get a repaint.
King James still has to be named as one of the coasters. This may have something to do with the Mantis paint. Nobody knows if the new name will be permanent or temporary.
There are tons of markings by the Point Pavilion and Raptor. Nobody knows what they are for. They might be for the other haunt which still has an unknown location, for a new, updated pavilion, or a new thrill ride.
Jason McClure said that "Cedar Point's new ride in 2015 will be a thrill ride aimed at teens and other hard core thrillsters, rather than a family-oriented ride".
Tony Clark tweeted "Currently working diligently on 2015. Did I spel that rite? More importantly, did I say it right..."
Tony Clark said at the CP Chill Out, “I can guarantee you're probably gonna want to come back on the winter tour next year.”
Overall, we're getting something thrilling, some new haunts, and new paint on Mantis.
Now it's a big game of Clue: where will it go, what will it be, and how does this all connect?
...I can't imagine Mantis will be converted to a sit down coaster. A ride designed for riders in a standing position is a ride NOT designed for riders in a sitting position. No park wants to cause riders pain.
Anyone with a modicum of common sense knows that a "King James" coaster re-name will be temporary.

I don't think most pointbuzz users would want to talk about 2015 without much to go off of, but I remember reading about Jason McClure saying something along the lines of CPs next coaster being in the works (probably design phase) and Tony talked bout how good he thinks the next few "five year plan" years will be.
http://youtu.be/geRHSsurWwA?t=26m36s "the next 2-3 years"? Maybe next year?I'm sure whatever CP has planned for 2015, it will be good, like always.
Maybe those markings seen on Coastermania day have to do with something.
He expressed we must "respect the old and embrace the new...we must evolve." So yeah, brace yourselves because some things are about to go bye-bye! Whether it's Mantis, Mean Streak or CCMR, CP is about to have a revolution these next few years after being "quiet" between Maverick and Gatekeeper.
The "respect the old and embrace the new" was spearheaded by Ouimet himself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6Z8D0EBGv4
