New for 2015

Since there will be a thrill ride next year, it could maybe be a drop tower like Falcons Fury at BGT. It could be named Fury 325, because it would be 325 feet tall or have a 325 foot drop.

I would love that but Intamin...

Falcon's Fury has been "done" for months and it's still not open. Looks like SeaWorld Parks is learning that lesson now.

What is CP does get a drop tower, but it is something like Zumanjaro Drop of Doom.

I don't think Cedar Point would invest in a drop tower, because of Power Tower; the reason we got rid of Demon Drop

Demon Drop and Power Tower are 2 totally different ride experiences IMO.

Power Tower and Demon Drop were not the same kind of ride. PT offers a pressure induced drop to the ground, while DD was a true free fall experience.

That Zumanjaro drop ride looks crazy. I like how they used the Kingda Ka support structure for the new ride, saves space and money.

^but whoever's in charge of safety in New Jersey is putting some heavy restrictions on it. Since the loading area of Zumanjaro is like a cell phone graveyard, the 2 rides cannot be running at the same time. They'll run all 3 cars of Zumanjaro, then 2 of Kingda Ka, then 3 of Zumanjaro and so on. Totally kills the capacity of KK

Well... based upon that... it was not a good idea and once again proof that saving money ends up costing ya. Especially as rides like Kingda Ka and TTD aren't incredibly high capacity rides in the first place.

They better get rid of Mean Streak and Mantis before they think of even touching CCMR.

Is it worth pointing out the ongoing multi-year project to completely replace the wood structure on Mine Ride and Gemini? Although I think Gemini is finished now. In any case, is that he sort of project you undertake on a 45-year-old ride you are planning to remove in the next 5? I think any talk of removing Mine Ride is nothing more than misguided 'wishful' thinking. The park's actions suggest it will be with us a while.

Is the Cedar Fair headquarters based out of Sandusky? More importantly Cedar Point? Because on the trademark it is filed for the address One Cedar Point Drive Sandusky, OH 44870. I always thought Cedar Fair was based out of some other Cuty but chances are that I am wrong.

The Headquarters is located on the CP Peninsula .

I have very little doubt the name of whatever is coming will be Rougarou; I'm not sure how that can really be denied given what's been tossed out.

After all, the name is legendary.

That said, the question is what sort of ride (er, "thrill" ride) makes sense based on what "Rougarou" is, or means...(there seems to be more than one interpretation, although it's certainly some type of creature)?

The good news is that our new ride already has it's own festival.

I'm hoping that they build a at least one Cajun food stand to go along with it. Lake Erie Gumbo, anyone?

Every time I see the word Rougarou, I always wonder how to pronounce it...

Row-GAH-row (broken up) or Rogue-a-row
