It's a new, big roller coaster. Calm down everyone. What would you rather have?GCI or RMC woodie. Nearly half the cost, and a better ride.
I gotta disagree with you on GCI. I loved Prowler (at night) and Renegade is pretty good, but I'd take a Dive Machine, or B&M invert, wing, hyper, etc. over either. At the very least, a dive coaster is exponentially easier to market than a 105 foot tall GCI.
I'd love RMC, and I think that will happen sooner rather than later. The emergence of Rocky Mountain is the reason I suspect so many people aren't extremely happy with Valravn.

You do realize that other people have different perspectives and opinions, right?
If you LEGITIMATELY believe that your opinion that Cedar Point should be catering to your (or any) specific consumer segment rather than what is going to make the company the most money, (which is something that people with years of education, training, and experience have done here, rest assured), then I can't tell if you're trolling or if you actually want Cedar Point to reverse their upward profit trend.

I do. Why do you think I shouldn't express my different perspective and opinion? I'm sorry, but the "I'm a coaster enthusiast and parks fail when they don't cater to my whims" sense of entitlement is distasteful to me.
No one is stopping you from expressing your own perspective. But perhaps breaking apart someone's else's comment with a line by line critical response littered with sarcasm and personal insults isn't the most effective method. As it stands right now you seem less interested in sharing your views and more interested in marginilizing someone elses's.
OMG, Thank you! Someone finally standing up to noggin for his line by line critiques. I've been seeing his condescending (and somewhat demeaning) replies for years but never said anything, and mainly because I was scared he'd break down my reply. Let's see if it happens here!
They could put one where Cedars is.
I doubt that Cedars is coming down after hearing the announcement. They're building a new marina gate, so if they wanted to expand the park to where Cedars is, then wouldn't they need to build the marina entrance back more?

Not necessarily. The marina gate is a little further down. I circled in red where the gate is. And the yellow line is where the road could go. That still opens up a significant amount of space. Or they could just make a bridge that goes over there if they were to put in a new attraction in the old Cedars space.

Raptor will look great with some new paint, but won't the birds just keep pooping on the supports again? I can imagine by the end of the season it would be back to the original look of Craptor.
Honestly, some of those spikes on the supports wouldn't be bad for Raptor. May be an eye sore tho on a Coaster.
No more of an eyesore than the crap really. Either spikes or paint it the color of seagull crap. As pretty as the current colors are they don't really strike me as the colors of a raptor. They're more like a parakeet. I think black and maroon would be awesome like a big, black, red-eyed bird.

Has anyone seen a height restriction for Valravn? I looked through the official page and haven't seen anything. Both Gatekeeper and Banshee have a restriction of 52". I'm assuming with these restraints Valravn will also have a 52" height requirement which will be great for shorter riders!
A quick google search told me it's 54 inches. Not sure why it isn't 52' like the others, if it has the same restraints.

Serious question: if you've been finding my posts condescending, that means you've been reading them. Why do you continue to read them if they're so unsettling for you? There are several people whose posts I just scroll on by rather than read.
I'm a Marxist, of the Groucho sort.
