There's a chance. Supposedly the state will be out to inspect the ride tomorrow. So, anything is possible. But, I'd say the safer bet is Wednesday.

^ I think it might tomorrow because it is getting inspected. It will be open for the weekend though.

Yeah, I got a tweet that he rode around 1:30 yesterday. A few hours later I was by there and managed to see 2 employees in the front seat of a boat. I don't know how long the had been riding. But, they were completely drenched. We hit thm with a cannon. :) They were soaked already, so it didn't matter. but, it was still fun. Water rides were running full all wekend.
We saw three riding...we water bombed them :-) That's what they get for not letting us ride.

How can they ride if it has not been inspected yet? I am jealous...lol
Looks like Tony was really wet. Too wet for me to ride. I will ride it once though.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Employees can ride. Non employees can't ride until the State gives its +approval.
I should mention about the valve thing...I haven't actually seen the boats; I am going by the explanations given for Pilgrim's Plunge during its construction, and of course my observations of countless flume boats over the years. I appreciate the vote of confidence, though! :)

From all ride operation managers, NO ONE can ride without state approval even if it is Dick Kinzel.

The boats have pumps beneath the seats that "squirt" the water out the back once the boat parks in the station. It's kind of fun to watch.

Employees of Cedar Fair can ride a new ride prior to the state inspection, which is why a few of us were able to experience it. It all depends on the circumstances. I can't say enough good things about it - and the water was kind of warm!
Anyone have questions I can answer?

Is it true that the ride is taking a lot longer to run a full cycle than originally planned? I heard people saying it was taking over 1 and 1/2 minutes just to get to the first lift, and approaching 5 mins of total ride time.
Say, Tony, now that y'all are much closer to the ride opening, can you tell us anything more vis-a-vis StR's ride interactions with Paddlewheel Excursions? If I remember correctly, there was talk some time ago about how the rides would tie in. I'm curious to find out more. :)

The ride has 10 boats and all will be used in operation. Although it's one of our longest rides in the park (time-wise), you don't really notice it while cruising on your "tour."
@Ensign - there really isn't much interaction with the ride as previously thought. The Paddlewheel Captains talk about the ride, but the feuding actually takes place right before the boat turns the corner to go under the ride.

Thanks, Tony. Even though that didn't really work out, I do think the rides complement each other nicely. StR is definitely a beautiful looking ride.

Not to totally go off topic. But, since your reading Tony. Is there anything you can tell us about what happened to the trees on frontier trail. Not the ones removed for STR. The ones that have been severely cut back and/or cut down to a stump.
I love the way STR looks. Although frontier trail is getting a bit thin on top. We may need to get some industrial strength Rogain. ;)

Blame the maples. They're the ones who wanted more sunlight. ;)
Edit: Jugga, after my last ride on MS front seat, I'm leaning somewhat toward the believers' camp again.

^ Yeah, we all know what happened to "The Trees"
There is unrest in the forest,
There is trouble with the trees,
For the maples want more sunlight
And the oaks ignore their please.
The trouble with the maples,
(And they're quite convinced they're right)
They say the oaks are just too lofty
And they grab up all the light.
But the oaks can't help their feelings
If they like the way they're made.
And they wonder why the maples
Can't be happy in their shade.
There is trouble in the forest,
And the creatures all have fled,
As the maples scream "Oppression!"
And the oaks just shake their heads
So the maples formed a union
And demanded equal rights.
"The oaks are just too greedy;
We will make them give us light."
Now there's no more oak oppression,
For they passed a noble law,
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet, axe, and saw.
I guess I'm a bit more unedgumacated than I thought. :)
I have never heard that before.
