Bon Aire section and other exterior changes to Hotel Breakers

Also noticed that all major coasters were included as part of CP's landscape in the animation, except one? Probably doesn't mean anything, but wouldn't you think the 145' structure of Mantis should be included in this animation as part of the landscape? I dunno probably nothing, but worth the thought I guess?

Mantis is getting squashed and they certainly would not put anything that may be new in the animation before the new attraction is announced.

Yea they wouldn't put anything new on it, but wouldn't they leave the existing? I dunno, but like I said probably doesn't mean anything! What about that brand new entrance to the Breakers' parking lot, it just doesn't seem like it's all gonna fit?

I thought the new entrance wasn't going to fit either until I looked at the google image above ^^^ and my park map/ photo collection and just realized that CP is going to extend the entrance (towards the south)and utilize that grassy island area that is currently there.
The road (now in front of the current entrance) will be underneath the new extended one. Make sense?

If there's not going to be a Mantis in 2015, there's no reason to include it in a 2015 animation.

^^ You guys are looking waaaayyy too far into this. There are several other rides that are not included on the concept video as well. SlingShot, Gemini, Maverick, Corkscrew, Snake River Falls, even Soak City....

Are those rides going to be removed as well? The concept is about Breakers, not the rest of the park. The coasters shown are just to give a little perspective. This in no way can be taken at face value as far as what coasters are present and what coasters are not.

I love how people on Facebook are still complaining about ruining what's left of the historical aspects of Breakers.

I really don't think people will ever accept that Breakers was never something like the Stanley Hotel or Banff Springs Hotel in build quality or even really target demographic. It's this constant confusing of 'historic' with just 'old'.

Judging from the rendering, I thought they did a fine job of bringing everything up to modern standards while still keeping the feel of the old Hotel Breakers. Other than the lobby and rotunda, there is nothing left of the original anyway except for Bon Aire which thankfully is getting demolished. CP needs first class accommodations that are up to the quality of the rest of the resort. The new Breakers will accomplish that. Bon Aire and the old Twin Sections have more in common with a Russian Gulag than a classy resort hotel and need to go.

Of course they are tearing Bon Aire down....where do you think they are moving Mantis too. :)

Get over it and move on. It was a firetrap and was only a matter of time before something happened.

^ Dan was pointing out others' complaining on Facebook, not complaining himself. It sounds like he agrees that at least some sections of Hotel Breakers may be old but are not historical structures.

I'm just wondering, on the 2015 Hotel Breakers page, it says 511 rooms/ suites available, but this year there are 650. Are they getting rid of rooms?

I don't know how I feel about the name of the bar..who the hell is surfing Lake Erie from the CP peninsula :P it's just weird, small stupid gripe though

I will say, that vid butchered PT lols, and looks to have gotten the Space Shot/Turbo Drop sides wrong. Also something looks odd with Millie but I just can't put my finger on it.

Looking online, rooms go from $190-$230 for the Lakeview/Poolside suites, the pics do not reflect the room changes however. Also first day of availability is 08MAY15, so I'm guessing theres your opening day.
