blacking out on millenium force?

Did you ever come to?

I remember the first time I ever rode MF I had a pair of Oakleys. When I hit the bottom of the first hill I thought I lost my sunglasses 'cause everything got bright, but it was just the tunnel vision and 'greying' out. It was so intense, plus just having that happen to your body is pretty awesome.

"...look, here are we, on this starry night, starin' into space, and I must say, I feel as small as dust lyin' down here..." ~dmb

I knew someone that had a pair of Oakleys he wore on over 100 different coasters for years of riding including many MF rides. The random idiot Cedar Point policy a couple years ago that required everyone have a strap or place your glasses down your shirt resulted in him losing them.

He didn't really care a whole lot as he set aside the money for a new pair if he needed them.

I would just ask people if their glasses were tight, and if they said no, I'd tell them to stuff them down their shirts. If they were tight, I'd let them keep them on their face. They can't hold them in their hands though.

i greyed out on the corkscrew. the first loop every single time i ride it. i have never greyed or blacked out on any other ride so I think its pretty sad that i grey out on that.

i never get blacked out on MF, but when i was on deja vu, i blacked out on the cobra roll. that is the only time its happened to me.

I have only had the blackness for a few moments really toward the bottom of the first hill, but that was only once or twice. and i had already ridden the ride quite a few times too. But i think it is okay now. i was freaked when i felt that happen, because I have NEVER expierenced anything like that before, and i love coasters. it was odd. but oh well. At least I know i am not a freak! :D

Raquel + Cedar Point = one HELL of a time! :D

And also- don't be afraid of the drop. Enjoy that thrill and rush of being alive baby!

I've never come close to a blackout on any ride..July could be interesting! The only fast launch coaster I've been on is Hulk, but it just goes about half as fast as TTD and not much height.

I was at CP a few days ago and blacked out right in the Immelman on Mantis... Anyone else get this???

<---greys out usually

Have never felt it on MF at all. But Mantis, everytime coming out of the vertical loop towards the Immelman I gray out every time.

I have never heard of such a thing, except on this board.

I never blacked out nor Gray out when I rode it. Yes I agree with you MrScott, you only hear things like this on the board.

I sometimes do.
I always black out on Excalibar at ValleyFair-and one time it got serious and I didn't feel good-so I never go on it again. I can't wait for the day they take down that ride and replace it w/ something! absolutly hate it! very shaky, rough, and not safe....

"Water will be involved." MrScott 2006

Ah, not safe, huh? Well if that's what you want to call it, go ahead. But I really don't think that Valleyfair (and yes, I do go there about every weekend since it's my homepark) would actually have an "unsafe" coaster. No coaster is meant to be unsafe. Just because it's rickity (sp?) does not mean it's unsafe. *rolls eyes* And I find Excalibur enjoyable if you sit in the second row with your back leaning forward so it's not on the back rest, just a tip for riding it -- and always hold on to the bar on the seat in front of you on their backrest (sorry if that sounds unclear, I don't really know how to explain that) and not the lap bar.

Anyways, on topic, I always get grayed out on Millennium Force. I never eat when I'm at Cedar Point -- I never really have time to. And I never get hungry for some reason. Maybe if you eat a bit more and tense up your muscles like a guy said to do a while back it won't be so bad. I'll try it out tomorrow!

I did it for the first time on my last ride during CoasterMania ERT around 12:30ish. Only instead of a black or gray color, it was more of a red color, but it was very cool none the less.

2012 - Magnum XL 200 Crew

I have never blacked out on TTD or Millennium. However, my most recent ride on Mantis seemed EXTREMELY intense. I have rode it a couple of times before this year, and it wasn't too bad, but this year is was horrible. I got some black spots during the first half of the ride (I don't remember specifically where). I wonder if they have changed the trim breaks this year or something since Phantahorse, force 312, and AJ Halper have also experienced this.

EDIT: On the last helix on raptor, I can feel the blood pooling in my feet (Funny feeling), but no blackouts.

Four discount funday tickets to Cedar Point: $130.96
Overnight stay at Breakers Express: $70
Riding rides the size of skyscrapers while "legally" breaking the local speed limit: Priceless

Maybe you need to eat more fruits and veggies?

I usually start to gray out just after pulling out of the first drop. I told the rest of my family this and they didn't think it was possible.
