Yeah it was pretty crazy, lol. It was out in Howell. I think that's quite a ways from Hudsonville :)

Yeah, but I'm over in Sterling Heights every so often. I'll just have to make sure not to get in an accident on my way there.

For sure :)
If you ever pass the second Howell exit on I-96 during business hours M-F, honk your horn ;)

I have been going to CP for years with my 17 year old niece. We usually ride pretty much everything including Dragster and nothing bothers her except for millenium force. She told me a few years ago that she was blacking or greying out at the bottom of the hill so we havent gone on it for a few years. We are planning on going to the park next week and she wants to try it again.
I have done a lot of google searches and have found people who say clench your muscles and I have found many people who say it happens to people who havent eaten or stayed hydrated because they are worried about getting sick on a ride. I have scanned this thread and read many of the same answers.
Since this thread is more then a few years old I figured I would bump it and ask if anybody has come up with any different answers or found that one of the answers I posted work better for them then the others. Thanks for any help
Over the past years I've noticed that clenching your muscles is just a pain and doesn't really work. I use to black out on Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster but just started drinking more water and it stopped.
So my solution that works for me is to just stay plenty hydrated and always stop to eat something during the day when I'm hungry, even though coughing up the money for the parks food is enough to make me black out.
I thought is was only me! My mom sai i was crazy when i told her like this black fuzzy thing went from the outside of my eye and worked its way in.
RIP DEMON DROP I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU
I agree with several other people on this thread about hydration and food.
The only time I have experienced anything like this was when I tried to ride on an empty stomach.
This happens to me around the "turn around" twist after the first hill...every time without fail. I eat and drink like crazy (which means the whole dehydration/lack of food theory does not apply to0 me), so I've just assumed it's something innate.
Not a single coaster at CP has made me grey out, let alone black out. My best 'marathon' on MF was 11 times one morning for Early Entry and my vision was never affected.
There is only one coaster that has made me start to grey out-but it's not at CP so I'm not bringing it up.
Yesterday I blacked out on the first drop of Maverick. Ive never blacked out on a ride before but my vision just went gray and then completely black right at the bottom of the drop. My vision cleared up right in the middle of the first turn. It was really weird cause Its never happened to me before. I was extremely hungry right before I got on so that may have been the reason cause I went on Maverick later in the day and I was completely fine. Weird....
Go State
Thanks for the responses. Food and drink seems to matter. We are going to the park on Thursday and hopefully will give Millenium Force another try but if we dont I am sure we can find a few other things to ride
