No. Bales of hay, just like he wrote. Not "bails".
Yeah yeah. So I have difficulty reading backwards. :)

I would imagine the park prints all their maps for the regular season (or what they think they'll need) before the season starts. So there really aren't too many chances to make corrections.
Hmm, I'm not sure I believe that or not, simply because that is a TON of maps. Probably somewhere over a million total. I guess it would depend on if they do the printing or get them shipped in. Either way, I think it might make more sense to do it in waves both because there might be minor changes (like the new rain policy) and the sheer volume needed. I also don't think they would have the Halloweekends maps ready to be printed in April/May.

That's why I said "regular season".
I figured the Halloweekend maps would be printed in August.

I have not been to CP when it rained in 2007. Last time I was there in the rain was last halloween. But do they shut down ALL the rides, even in a slight drizzle??
Is it possible for CP to do two things? Like obviously put in the new kids area, but also tear down Aquatic Stadium and put something there too?
Nope. They are limited by law to doing one thing per season. Its part of the Ohio Double Revised Code. ;)
Goodbye MrScott

And we all know if they break the Ohio Double Revised Code they will then go on double secret probation and they will watched by Neidermier, that nosy little s#!%. ;)
Beeeeehhhhhhh!!!!!
Sorry Tim and Brandon, I did spell it wrong the first time and edited it later. Sorry for the confusion. :)
As for two attractions in one year, maybe they plan on doing a Kiddy Kingdom revamp for 2008 and prep the Aquatic Stadium site for future development? Maybe we'll see a nice grassy patch on the park map similar to the grassy patch we saw in Frontier Town on the 2006 map.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
^some parts of a kiddie ride have been spotted at CP from GL, you can find pics in the recently closed thread, which actually offered something new for a change, unfortunately, many veterans here feel they have a right to be a moderator...
Owner, Gould Photography.
I saw those. So I guess unless they're just there to be stored, we can expect to see them in use next season.
Many veterans here have the right to make themselves look like idiots on the internet and do it well and often. I never understood why either. Go over and read a few threads in The Point Online. They throw around ideas and no one attacks new users because their ideas are "stupid." So many people here write off new ideas or suggestions quicker than they can actually think about it. Look at some of the user names on the other site too. Do many of them look familiar? Yea they do, probably because they left the bullsh*t here to be in a more peaceful and friendly environment. Walt and Jeff do a great job running this site. And that's exactly it. They are the moderators, not those members who have a keyboard and think they can say any crap they want consequently scaring new (and many long time) users away.
I'm a generally quiet person on this site. I like to add to discussion when I feel I have something useful to contribute. I've met many people who are members of this site and made friends. So, next time before you type something that you think may not be necessary or may be looked at as a negative contribution, read it over and decide if you really want to "submit reply." I know I have.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
^100% agreed
But back on topic, even though this new addition is huge, it is still exciting to see something "new" (technically used) come to cp. I hope they make an announcement soon.

I don't see it this year, but I really think a perfect replacement for the Aquatic Stadium would be one of these.

Imagine what that would look like on the beach. Possibly taking over the stadium and Ocean Motion's area and a path going under the ride for the beach gate. It looks great and will cater to a very large audience.

Love your idea of a dark ride. Hate your idea of location. Why would you block what is perhaps one of the most beautiful amusment park views in the WORLD with a large building that houses a dark ride? Geez, they already made that mistake with Disaster Transport.
Open those views up and take advantage of the Peninsula.

Exactly. If I was the planner, there would simply be an open space...perhaps a boardwalk type atmosphere created there with a nice lighting package. I would move the ferris wheel so it faced the water more dierctly (and paint the darn thing...it oozes 1979).
But the most important addition? I giant Lake Erie perch food stand by the water. :)
Just clean the area up, get rid of the ugly warehouse, and i'll be happy.
Promoter of fog.
I'd actually like to see a woodie with a steel superstructure so it can be minimized while maximizing the views under/over the coaster track. Eliminating the stadium and Disaster might allow for a nice out & back or even an L shaped that would turn down where Demon Drop is.
If you think about it, there are relatively few places you can actually see the beach from inside the park and that is one of, if not THE, finest beaches on Lake Erie.

Even a steel structured wood coaster would create a "wall" between the park and the lake. It would be less visually intrusive, but I think I'd rather see a totally wood coaster just for nostalgia. If they go for the boardwalk theme, a fully wooden coaster would just look nicer.
It would be cooler if the midway was routed to the beach side of the existing rides, but I don't think there's enough room on the beach to do that.
So if Peanuts' is getting revamped should we just assume that all of those trees are going bye-bye?
I hope not...shade is becoming a precious commodity in the park.
I wish that darned DT would go bye-bye.
They could totally refurbish that area (From Demon Drop back to Ocean Motion) into a beautiful boardwalk area, with nice shops. I think if they put some money into making it look better, with some landscaping and such it could be absolutely gorgeous.
