^I really wish they never changed the height limit. The guide map really got some of the guest very angry by having the wrong information.

^Other than enthusiasts, I can't imagine many people knowing about the original height requirement. In the same regard, wether or not people knew the height requirement, I can see them being disapointed when they find out their kid can't ride.

With all that being said, it wasn't CP's decision. It was mandated by Intaride. And IIRC State law requires that parks abide by Manufacture requirements.

I think Craig is saying the park maps had the incorrect height limit listed for the ride, thus causing confusion and anger amongst park guests.

^Yep, all the park maps were printed before the change and you have to face very upset parents and kids when you tell them they can't ride. All the signs around the park were changed, but most people don't pay attention to that.

Theres a new blog posted on CP's website, it says they will release 2008 info when they're ready to "release the hounds" Hounds = Snoopy?

Or "release the hounds" as in an expression very similar to "letting the cat (kittens) out of the bag".

Don't read into it any deeper than the text on the screen.

Tony - could you guys cut it out. Every time you do that we end up with a 10 page thread analyzing every little nuance of what you said. ;)

Keep up the good work, I do enjoy your postings. And enjoy your vacation.

If Snoopy leaves, I won't be all that happy. Especially if "the world's coolest Beagle" is replaced by a freakin' SPONGE. COME ON!!!!

I guess they can't please everyone, but Snoopy should stay. :)

I know what it means it was just a thought. I too love their postings!

This doesn't have to do with any Snoopy vs. Spongebob arguements, but it does have to do with 2008. A few weeks ago I mentioned that I saw something behind Mean Streak covered with a black tarp. At the time I couldn't tell what it was but Sunday night driving past it the corner of the tarp was flying around and I saw inside. What I saw may shock many of you. Want to know what I saw?

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

what did u see?

I'm pretty sure he saw "bails of hay".

Oh goody! Bales of hay! Parhaps they are expanding the petting zoo to include exotic animals like large cats and wolves, it's the most thrilling petting zoo around! They could even roam tha park. Just kidding.

Either that or he saw the Gemini Trains on their one year vacation.

ooooo wow i couldnt unscramble the words :D

No. Bales of hay, just like he wrote. Not "bails".

I'm surprised that CF retained Peanuts this long. They are only featured in about 3 TV programs played a year, and are as popular as the Berenstain Bears anymore.

Back to the park maps for a moment. The maps for Halloweekends had the 52 inch height requirement listed on the height chart. So, that was eventually corrected. I like the easy to read chart format they used too. Just look for the ride name and the height is right there.

I could be wrong, but wasn't the height changed AFTER the park opened?

I would imagine the park prints all their maps for the regular season (or what they think they'll need) before the season starts. So there really aren't too many chances to make corrections.

I think you are right. As I remember they announced the height change along with the removal of the heartline roll. Actually, that may have been a couple days before the park opened. The maps were probably printed and delivered by then.
