ID just got repainted a couple years ago.

They accidentally grabbed paint from their "McDonald's" collection to paint it. Oops. They must have had the same painters do Sandcastle because it screams McDonald's now too.
Personally, I'd rather see ID painted before MF too. MF still looks pretty good compared to ID. Could it use a spanking new paint job? Sure. But, ID needs it more. :)

I have noticed that the paint used to repaint the rides seems to be of higher quality than the original paint from the factory.
I've noticed that too. The best example is Mantis.
I wonder if Intamin just doesn't use good paint, because they all seem to look bad after only a couple of seasons. MF, WT, TTD, and even Maverick already are looking worn.

TTD could use a paint job pretty soon too. When I was at the point in July it looked more pink than red.
And Milli is fine for the most part. Unless you're looking for faded paint while riding it the only spots that are really noticeable are around the queue area. So maybe they should just repaint from the second tunnel (where a sudden change in shade would be less obvious) to the brake run. That'd save them a lot of cash and it'd accomplish almost the same thing.

^^lol
I don't think the paint job on MF is too bad. Besides, even if it was really visible... you'd look bad too if a train weighing thousands of pounds rolled over you a million times in a summer :P

^^Based on last years ridership, the trains only run over the track about 50,000 +/- times each year. Keeping in mind that each train holds 36 riders plus test runs, partialy filled trains, etc. It's just an aproximation.

Maverick? You're kidding right?
Mavericks track actually isnt looking so good over the pond. But thats because of the water sprayed on it. It looks like black mold kinda...

Maybe it's grease residue from the trains misting on the track due to the moisture caused by the water bombs........that's my guess.
Dragster has a similar problem with its cooling system near the hydraulic room and at the fly wheel (beginning of the launch).

^I noticed that they either cleaned off the grease or repainted that piece of track by the hydraulic building at the beginning of the season.

I'm not saying the ride needs to be repainted (far from it), I'm just saying that all the Intamin coasters seem to start fading very quickly.

Well, in years past, I'd have said not much. But TTD did a good job with reliability this year.

^^Well first you have a reservoir filled with hydraulic fluid. It is pumped through hydraulic hoses through...........blah blah blah. Basically, hydraulics are what happen in the hydraulic room.:)
And you're right Craig. I was happy to see they cleaned the feeder wheel section. It really needed it.............though it didn't last long. :P

Yes I do want to know what goes on in TTD's hydrualic room. What happens in TTD's hydrualic room should not stay in TTD's hydrualic room. lol
