I agree with the boardwalk idea. Unfortunately, I think they should have thought of that before they put in Wicked Twister and the Giant Wheel. If they could somehow convince the higher ups to move Wicked Twister and the Giant Wheel towards the Collessium and the midway walk towards the beach (just flip the two around), that would be an amazing boardwalk experience, with attractions on one side, and beach views on the other.
Because moving Wicked Twister and Giant Wheel is so easy. You guys crack me up.

You can still see through the supports enough that the beach would still be visible if they planed it right.

This would also be cool. Very few supports. Have the turnaround before the drop towards the lake. People on the ground could see the beach and it would be an awesome veiw of the beach/lake from the top of the hill. PLus it would be a B&M!
Let's Get Weird.
I thought I heard BG has some kind of exclusivity agreement with B&M for Dive Machines but I'm not sure for how long.
Now lets not make this a "I think CP shoud get a ..." thread.
just got a picture of Track near rye beach road... email for a fowarded picture at horvath45@hotmail.com
the track is yellow doesn't look like Intamin and it was on 2 right at the rye beach road exit so not totally sure if it was going to Cedar Point but it sure did look like it was
^When?? All I remember is that he was paying attention to how El Toro was going to perform. That was said before the ride even opened.

It was this year during one of the coaster events at CP. Someone in the audience asked about the Intamin plug 'n play coasters and Kinzel responded with something like "it's not gonna happen." I'll see if I can find a link.

Youre correct Tim. In the same interview, he also mentioned that a certain company may be called upon at some point to look at Mean Streak ;)
He also stated that Maverick was one of many options from Intamin...one of which was very much like MF...(he didnt elaborate)...and that 2009 would see CP return to something big.

Promoter of fog.
Hey Kevin. We met in line at Wicked Twister I belive.
Anyway, IIRC, he did say there were different designs and different manufactures that bid for project 2007, which eventualy became maverick. What he said after that was more along the lines of, CP will continue to get a major attraction every 2 or 3 years +/-.

Hello Jason Hammond. :) Yes, for the first time Pointbuzz "came to life" in the form of Jason Hammond waiting for a front seat on Maverick.
What Bill Horvath's picture included was Thunderhawk track on its way to Michigan.
Promoter of fog.
Ah yes Maverick. Lots of Buzz'rs on closing day. Hard to remember where I saw which ones. :)
^^Lol Ensign.

Well, now that we know what the expenditures for 2008 are, I'm kinda bummed that there wasn't any mention of painting (i.e. Millenium Force). I'm assuming that would be a pretty big expense and they would include that in the release.
Just for kicks, I found these pictures of Nemesis at Alton Towers....apparently CP is no the only park that doesn't keep up with painting coasters...actually this makes Millie look pretty good!

^I hope you weren't serious. Nemesis is themed to look like that.

Yeah, Nemesis is amazing. Best invert I've ever been on. The queue, station, location, ride and everything is just awesome!!
If any of their coasters needs paint it's Oblivion. The thing looks almost white now from fade and it's supposed to be black.
I think CP does better than most parks in keeping the rides looking nice.
MF isn't that bad, unless you look at the silver supports up close. From most parts of the park the ride looks fine.
I have noticed that the paint used to repaint the rides seems to be of higher quality than the original paint from the factory.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
