What else ya going to say to him?
Ummm.... "Hi." Thats what I would do.
Let's Get Weird.
I met John Hilldabrandt by Johnny rockets a few weekends ago and he was encouraging me to work there.
By the way, since when was there a bridge in the midway by maverick? The only 3 bridges I see are the one people get splashed on over SRF, and the two covered ones for antique cars and cad cars rides.
While the two bodies of water on either side of the bridge may not intersect, it still moves people from one side to the other without having to walk through the water, hence a bridge.

Ride on, MrScott!
^That's the problem though, why do people want it torn down? I mean I find the ride itself really fun and thrilling. If the theming was better I'm sure you all would love the ride.
You just answered your own question.
Promoter of fog.
When I mentioned Snoopy and Demon drop earlier in the thread I was going from memory on a good source. I am not 100% certain on snoopy going bye but I do know nick toons are coming also I have no idea what are the plans for Demon drop I just know that it finally did sell. Thats why I mentioned it. I just didnt want anyone to think I was making stuff up.
As for the parking garage thing the resort I work at is planning one now. It is going to be made to look like a 1920's skyscraper so it can blend into our theme I didn't even know it was a parking garage until I noticed the interior plans. Not sure of capacity but its massive and will allow us to remove our parking lot. Cost 23 million.
A 500 foot coster is also a distinct possibility using current technology. The trick is you dont actually have a lift hill. Think Mavrick technology you get boosted up one level go for a short ride, get boosted to a second level for another short ride { you can even cross under your own boost hills, then you get shot up a third incline then you go for the big drop and high action thrills, of course your gonna need some brake runs as well. Again just a thought and yet another massive investment but when we fed it through a simulator at work it did function.
I just had a strange thought in my head.
Is there a way to relocate the station of the Mean Streak? I wonder if the current location (only ride past RR crossing) is a reason for the decline in ridership?
Also, was it just me or did the Magnum entrance seem hidden? It seemed like trees were covering a lot of what was just a small sign and rails. Perhaps they should put in a new entrance sign?
I don't believe Magnum has ever had an "entrance sign" other than the old storm trooper. The trees have grown up around the queue, but that's a good thing. Shade is good.
They just need to design/build a cool sign for the entrance.
I like the location of Magnum, since it is so hidden not many people can find it and the lines are fairly short!

Yeah, but the goal here is to bring more people in. Therefore, an entrance sign is a good thing. I really don't like seeing the Magnum entrance sinking.
Haha. Ya I guess so, I'm just being selfish.

So, let's have a quick recap, since we're on page 21 of the 2008 watch. If you're just joining us, below is a summary of what you have missed about what is coming in 2008 (or clues thus far):

I guess that is why Magnum gave more rides than any other coaster in the park last year. ;)

It also led in 2005 and was second only to raptor in 2004. http://rollercoasterfreak.com/Cedar_Point/Ridership.bmp
I plan to update this if/when this years numbers are released. I think there is a mix up in CP's stats. In 2001 Corkscrew and CP&LE's numbers appear to be backwards. But again I got this from CP's site. Anyone think I should just switch the numbers for the next revision?
I think we may see a drop off in Magnum's numbers this year due to the down time it experienced early in the season. And then that was followed up by limited train opperation.

It will be interesting to see the numbers, especially Maverick's, after the late opening and ususal first year downtime. We already know that TTD went over a million. I agree that Magnum will be down some too...not sure if it will lead this year.
If it came from CP, then I would leave it that way.
Nick
It just doesn't seem possible for Corkscrew to have had such a good year. At least since the Early eighties. :)

Magnum? Had the highest?? Thats crazy! There wasn't ever a line when I went. And its so hidden. Thats pretty interesting.

That's part of the reason there's usually not a line. :)

ATL Matterhorn Tri. 2008
Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
I'm guessing you did not read the first part of my post. "It had the highest amount of rides."
Thats so strange that it has the highest amount yet never has much of a line.
