CP IS IN DESPERATE NEED OF A FLOORLESS B&M!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And someone is in need of a serious reality check, among other things.

I don't post much but I wanted to put something out there. If we ever go 500 feet, do you think we'll hit 200 mph on the same coaster? I think if we barely hit 500 then it'll be more towards 180 mph but how cool would 200 be? Actually, I would probably prefer a 200 mph coaster than a 500 footer for CP. Just some low air hills and maybe some unique and random elements. Where would it go though, a whole lap of the park in about a minute?

In a therotical 200 mph coaster your talking about pulling some major G's unless you do very long turns and very gently graded hills, even loops will be on a massive scale. Probably cost prohibitive with current technology as is the therotical one I posted earlier.

A park as large as CP can't just answer everything with a new coaster. Truthfully if I were them I would look in an entirely new direction. Do something that hasn't been "Done" or something that has been but only to a limited degree. This is what CP does best. It took alot of risk to get CP where it is today. Obviously they realize that, but that should'nt mean they should be to cautious either. Build a ride that takes you under the ground or even under the lake? Why not? Build a replica of the G.A. Boekling to bring you to the park? A flume ride that splashes into the lake and brings you back in? These are all just ideas being floated around but think about it? CP did great with mavrick yes but it's been awhile since they really thought outside the box. What are all their boundries and how can they push them?

I personally don't ever see a flume that splashes down into Lake Erie... Waves and fluctuating water levels would cause a big issue... among other things...

But I suppose when you are discussing 500 foot/200 mph coasters, reverse freefall coasters for 2009/10, along with the obligatory FLOORLESS B&M!!! shouting, I guess I'm not surprised.

Just for fun, I made up a name and email, and posted a rumor for Cedar Point on Screamscape that I totally made up.

The next, day, there it was, saying "sources are telling us that....."

Try it! It's fun!

I wonder what they will do with Geauga Lake's kids area? I though it was really nice, and components from that would make for a nice refresh of the Peanuts Playground.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I'm sure KI wouldn't mind getting their hands on GL's kids area stuff. KI is a kids area vacuum. Granted they consistently win the best children's area award at the Golden Tickets, but come on.... it's a little overkill when they build a new kiddie coaster every other year. Though I will say that they've slowed down a lot in the last few years.

I would really enjoy a dark ride theres not to many around here any more and that would bring a nice feel to the park and more of a famile ride.

Witches Wheel was having some something done to it. I have no clue what it is. But like I said in another post...

They had a couple of the railings up and moved so they could access the carts / ride. The ride was missing a few of its carts.

They had a couple carts sitting on wooden pallets, seated properly so they could be loaded in to CP pick-up trucks. There were 3-4 pick-up trucks, and a forklift. The forklift had one of the carts already loaded up.

It seems odd they would start work in the pitch black on a Sunday night when people are still in the park.

It was right after closing time, but people are still walking the mid-ways.

Could they be taking it apart? Could they be replacing some older carts? I am not sure....but they are doing something to it.

They could be replacing them or maybe there removing it. Last time i was there (august) i heard that next season will be a big suprise n in 2009 they think the crowd will be bigger than 2003. This was 2 bussiness men walking around and by bussiness men i mean dress shirt, tie and a CP babge clip. They were talking kinda quietly but i heard it all except what there getting.

Bring back Boblo!

it is the 500 footer i know my grandpa golfs with kinzle they start in a few months not open until 2009 and it will be biggest coaster ever same hill as milienium force more invertsions than maverick more air time than magnum

^I dunno.... terrible grammar, ridiculous rumors. All signs point to him being serious.

Back on topic....

I agree with Bre... but not all three times ;)

CP could definitely use a new dark ride.
