I thought they built cranes on top of skyscrapers.

I've heard from another forum that the site that is cleared is by TTD / Paddlewheel Excursions and is relatively small in size.

I saw it, and it's hardly land clearing. Between the fence next to Dragster and the lagoon is about 20 feet. Not exactly prime real estate for a ride. It looked like utility work, not much more than that.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Yeah I was told a lot of tree's would have to be removed, and you can see it as soon as you enter the TTD or if you ride the Paddlewheel Excursions.

Who knows...I looked at all the TTD construction pictures and they relocated Troika in no time, cleared land in no times, and progress was extremely fast.

You know theres some engineers right now finalizing plans, while the contractors are being silently notified about it.

What ever it is I sure hope it is another 3 point basketball game....

This limited foot space could be used for family purposes though.. Lets face it, it take a big coaster to tickle many of our fancies. But to satisfy a family with young children in mind can be done on a smaller scale.

We attended the Joe Cool Club dinner yesterday (Sat 9/8) and spoke with Tony Clark for a while.

I expressed my concern about the future of the Peanuts franchise (my 2 year old loves Snoopy), given the name change to "Point Perks."

While I realize the park can change directions and make a different decision at any time, he indicated that Snoopy wasn't going anywhere, and that the name change in the season pass "benefits" program was to clarify to the general public what the program is. "Joe Cool is really a generational name, and a lot of folks don't know the connection with Snoopy."

So, at least from this conversation, it sounds like "Point Perks" is just a name change for better marketing, and won't herald the loss of the Peanuts gang.

A good dark ride ala Disneys Haunted Mansion is in order. This type of ride is way overdue at CP.

Your mom is to fat to ride TTD.'s avatar

Amen. That would look cool where the Oceana Stadium stands right now, or if Demon Drop is ever removed. Then, construct a new flume between Mean Streak and Gemini.

^^I agree. Of course it's not a matter of "trust" it's a matter of what he's allowed to say. And if they're getting rid of Snoopy, they won't admit it until the official announcement.

You guys speak like Tony and Tyler are little rascals who are out to mislead everyone and wreak havoc in the Cedar Point community.

For anyone who has any interest, this was the area between Mean Streak and Gemini as of yesterday...

...And this is the talked about area from near Top Thrill Dragster as of last Saturday...

Neither one of them speaks any wonders, if you ask me.

What you see by TTD is the trail to the Dragster break area for employees. The only thing to look for over there is bird droppings and occasionally a puddle or two. *** Edited 9/10/2007 3:59:46 AM UTC by Gomez***

It's probably a storage structure for the new floats they now have. Or so they can move the storage out of the old Pirate Building or UR Dade and use it for something else. This is all speculation of course.

It looks like they're making some sort of tunnel in this picture.

Float storage, greenhouse, homeless shelter... it could be anything. I doubt it's an attraction of any kind though.

I figured it out. It's the new Disaster Transport theming. Instead of going through a series of pitch-black rooms, you'll now go through a pitch-black tunnel.

^^^ I love how your signature says Paramount is a cancer, but you want Nick in and Snoopy out. LOL!

True enough that you could infer that, but the reason I put that in my sig is in reference to the themed crappy Paramount movie rides that are currently there. I'm not referring to Nick at all. I can see now where that would be confusing and all.
