Oh sure, just go ahead and take the ride off of its 30+ ft. deep foundation and relocate the entire 300 ft. structure to a different spot in the center of the park. Not to mention needing to dig back down to to the bedrock wherever it would be moved to. Especially considering the size of the foundation you would need for a 300 ft. free-standing tower (depth or width). I really do hate to be a kill-joy, but really, that is as likely to happen as an addition to make TTD longer/taller.
Of course, who knows what could happen when Santa visits the Point this winter? Maybe the gigantic...well, lets just say maybe Power Tower would like its new plastic covering as seen from a good spot in the parking lot. ;)

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
That'd be a lot of saran wrap...

Here is all that I know for sure. It is not much and not even related but it is all I know. Demon drop has been sold, took a couple of years but someone finally purchased it. Also Snoopy's going bye bye, Hello Spongebob and the gang. Nickeloden has a deal with them now.
My sources are reliable however it sometimes takes awhile for me to get the information so if it's already in this forum sorry for the repost I havent read all the pages
Well I guess you could use saran wrap, but in the event a ride should ever be sponsored by Trojan instead of Gladware...you know, I think I kind of liked the idea of the tallest rotating McDonalds a little better. :)
But there I go ding something I hate, making an improbable wish list. I guess there's just something about these rumor threads that unavoidable when it comes to wish lists. But in all seriousness, I believe we can safely and surely rule out some sort of new attraction for 2008 based on the activity back there, as it is almost 100% sure that the construction back in the P&D lot is solely for P&D's use, and most likely related to the new Halloweekends parade.

I would be happy with replacing Space Spiral with a Vekoma Sky Shuttle
Now there's something that actually needs to be done. That thing is looking rather purple if you ask me.

a) Moving Space Spiral would probably be the hardest thing in the park to relocate. Isn't its foundation down to the bedrock?
Not sure if it's down to bedrock, but CP literature that I have read in the past says the foundation extends 60 feet into the ground, IIRC.
I have to say I've read some pretty bone-headed ideas for "improving" the park but moving Space Spiral to "get a better view" has got to be the most pointless yet.

Why is that such a pointless idea? The only reason why I ride the Space Spiral right now is to get a good view of the lake and possibly an ok look at Raptor. Also, because of the rotation you get a not so nice look at the parking lot. You can do pretty much the same thing on Giant Wheel which is pretty much right next door.
If Space Spiral was relocated to a more central location you could still get a fairly good view of the lake with a much better view of the park. With the relocation you would probably get rid of the hideous veiw of DT and the parking lot as well.
Even though it would be very cool for CP to take this on and pull it off well, I really don't think it's going to happen.

I didn't think the idea was worth anything till I was like oh yeah that was a big parking lot right next to the space spiral. Kind of an eye sore.
Put it this way, if you could do it all over again...I am sure they would have an idea of where it would be better located in the park.

If they were going to go through the effort of relocating the ride, they should just buy a new one. Bigger capacity, air conditioning, spiels that you can understand and a funky lighting package would all be a welcome addition.
I doubt a new ride. We'll probably see some serious infrastructure upgrades.
It sounds like the chain is going towards KI's photo-less pass system. So we'll see new turnstiles put in as well as the wiring to hook them into the computer system.
I would like to see wi-fi added at least to Breakers Tower (I can understand why the old-section is not wi-fi conducive) and the other resorts.
A park "mail" system would be nice as well. Buy souvenirs and then be able to pick them up at an entrance or at your resort desk would be HUGE towards boosting park cap. Obviously it may take a few hours for stuff to get there, but if I see something at 11am, I don't have to try and swing by on my way out to get it. This would be especially helpful to the shops on the Frontier Trail.

If an infrastructure upgrade is in store for the admissions system, I'd like to see a total overhaul of the front gate, if not all the admissions gates. I'm talking tear them down and build anew. They could use a fresh look and a better traffic flow.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
I would love to see that too. There's so many wicked things they could do with the entrance gates to celebrate entering and leaving the park. Like you said, they could use some enhanced traffic flow as well.
I completely agree about the renovated entrance. As you said Tim, there are so many cool things that can be done with entrances, and CP's could really use it.
For such a big park, I just think the entrance is somewhat lackluster and dull, not to mention small. For example, I've always found it odd how the season pass line is behind a pillar, etc.
Thrills Around the Corner!
You think its odd that a line of guests is behind a pillar, what word do you use when they put ride-ops behind pillars?

In Magnum's case, I understand how crazy the pillars are, but it's either stand inches away from a moving train or behind a pillar. You can't do much more, due to the station design.
