I know Mean Streak still has a manual transfer, so does WildCat...those are bad.
At mine ride, we actually have to push the trains out in the morning, and with up to 1620 pounds of sandbags it really blows

Haha, so, you know how "fun" manual transferring is, too. :). And, I know how you feel with sandbags...not that many, but, we sandbag every night.

Nothing beats having to push a train back, then quickly remove the stoppers from under the first car, and then acting like a bob sled team and pushing the train to the lift hill. Now that is some crazy awesome manual transferring right there lol.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
Hi guys, I've been browsing a while but I have a couple questions.
I really do hope I get to work at Cedar Point this summer. I applied two weeks ago, and have had a phone interview with the merchandise department 4 days after I applied (which would make it about a week and a half ago).
I put being working in merchandise as first choice and ride host as second. I haven't heard back since, and I checked online on jobnet, but nothing is showing up except my name. I even shot out an email to the lady who interviewed me a week after the interview to see what was going on, cause I see a lot of you have contract dates already and know you're hired so I guess I'm getting worried.
I think the interview went well but she didn't say if I was hired or not. Should I have been contacted by now or am I overthinking this? Thanks guys!
I'm under the assumption that many people got hired, but don't have their contract just yet.

On campus today the CP recruiting team was there. I was just going to inquire about working at CP. I already had my application filled out just not finalized and sent out yet. They decided to interview me on the spot. Right now I am 90% sure that I have a job as a Housing Supervisor. I will know for sure with in the next week or two. I am so excited!
Don't worry too much about your contract, they're a little behind on getting them out, but you should have it in the near future. I've actually gotten my leadership application already, and not my regular contract. I did get a call from my manager and she verified my contract dates. Since I was one of the TL's in Pagoda gift shop last season, I guess they wanted to make sure I knew the contracts would be in the mail soon. As I said, don't worry, you'll have your contract soon. Later!
Everything will start to fall into place within the next few weeks. These things take time to accomplish, the managers have to interview and hire thousands of employees.

quick question for everyone...i have been checking my application status online...and for the past 2 days all it shows is my name and status and the main screen is blank. Is this normal or is CP's website having problems? Before I would say something about calling a 1800 # between the hours of 8 and 5 on weekdays. Now it doesn't show anything. Does anyone know what is going on?
Thats normal. As its been said before, the new system isn't working. I've been "hired" since early january and I still have a blank screen. Don't bother calling the 800 number, they know its having problems.
If you had an interview and they offer you the job, don't worry about the contract. Your hired. It's on its way, and there's nothing to stress about.

OK, so I got an email from Steve this morning and I'm in Area 2. What zones would that cover again?
(Edit: I double checked the email again and it said "area", not "zone". Just a little bigger area....)
2009: I REALLY want to come back, we'll see
2008: CP&LE Railroad/Monster/Witches' Wheel
Welcome to the back of the park! Area 2 is made up of Zones 3 and 4. Zone 3 is everything from Power Tower back to the Gemini Children's Area and Zone 4 is from Gemini back to Thunder Canyon, including both stations of the CP&LE.
It may be a small one, but I think many of you will see an update with your application on JobNet.
