2008 New Employees

It's official, I just got my email today. Working in Games for the summer :) no other details yet. I originally wanted to be a ride op (like it seems most of you are), but I kind of would prefer the one-on-one interaction with guests I would get as a games host.

Any suggestions/comments/etc from others who have worked in there?

I haven't recieved a e-mail yet from JobNet, but i got my assingment straight from Matt.

The message that I recieved on Job Net states that my application is pending, and that I will receieve an email shortly regarding employment at Cedar Point. I'm guessing that most people who are already hired have this on their Job Net as of right now.

So did anyone else besides Merchandise/Ride Photo get contracts today? I'm kind of feeling left out for some reason... I want mine, darn it! :)

Oh, and when I tried to log into the jobnet thing, just for the heck of it, I got this:

"This is a stub description for status_hired_pending_download test"

Don't know if that means it's broken again, or what.

You should be getting your contracts in the mail in the next few weeks.

As for JobNet... It was never really "fixed." I think they're likely working on it to get online training and other information up for employees.

I received my contract today, Woo 5 cent pay increase!

My jobnet also says application pending and and I will recieve an e-mail soon...i think that e-mail will come on monday...last week monday which was the 18th was when i applied/interviewed and my job net updated this past monday (22nd) so i think my e-mail should come on monday...fingers crossed... :D

My parents got my contract today, and they are going to forward it to me next week.

The Job Net website will be available for you to accept your contract on March 7, 2008.

I'm offically an employee of cedar point (according to jobnet) Now i must wait till March 7th to accept and get my packet in the mail. I'm so excited!!!

Got my contract in the mail yesterday as well.

So my contract showed up online... should I accept it now, or wait until Friday?

Also, where does the paperwork get sent back to? (I'm assuming all they want is the contract, the tax form, and the medical form)? I didn't see an address anywhere other than the general Cedar Point one...do I just use that and direct it to HR?

It is also a good idea to make a copy of it just before you mail it.

I got my contract in the mail today and my jobnet is all updated.

I noticed a small mistake though on the contract. It has me starting May 16th when it should be June 16th. I will call Kathie Morrow tomorrow and clear this up. but it looks like I am a housing supervisor for the commons dorms.

Welcome back Jim! In case no one has noticed, you have to fill in information for your Background Check Authorization section on Job Net. Then once you enter the information just click accept just like you did for your contract.

You can accept your contract like, every day. How nifty ;)
