Biggest things I see with Fury.
Love the entrance interaction, GK esque if you think about it. The horseshoe roll looks fantastic, and love the Apollo's Charriot airtime hill ending style. Oh and the paint & logo turned out pretty sweet.
I'm curious though: With Banshee's radical change in restraints, I wonder if these trains will be retrofitted with any new technology. Plus I wonder if we will notice anything new being B&M's second Giga, if they are doing anything different with this one.

Welcome! I think the park is rented out on those days. Up until about a week ago, they were open on the 5th, but only for a very short amount of hours.

Actually as a whole I don't think CP has to worry about being outshined.
Besides, I'll take occasional coaster/ride builds in conjunction with overall park improvements over trying to leapfrog other parks. Holding off a major addition (hello, we just got GK 2 years) and instead focusing on bringing the balance of the park makes the whole experience better.

I'm the new guy here... But I noticed that the Cedar Point website says the park is closed September 5th and 6th for a private event. Anyone know what that is? Or maybe something is happening like an announcement or something those days.
Sure, that sure would make sense to close the park for an announcement, who needs a water main break! The combined IQ on here is staggering sometimes.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
The 5th and 6th have been discussed... It's a buyout of some sort. Sigh. (Oh wait, I must have too much free time that I can spend it sighing.)
Carowinds has been said to be a park with tremendous growth potential. That's why Cedar Fair opened a regional HQ there. We know they're going to grow the place as a destination, likely to be as big (not physically per se) as Cedar Point is. There's no reason to worry about Carowinds outshining Cedar Point for now, it is still the flagship. It has history and a fanbase. It just doesn't have as much room to grow (according to the board and management) so we'll see more investment there.
I think the time has come for Millennium Force to take a bow. I cant say for sure until i've actually ridden Fury 325, but on paper it looks like Millennium Force's number one spot on my list may be in jeopardy. This ride has everything you could ask for. Height, speed, twists and turns, airtime, and B&Ms hyper coaster seats (big plus for me)! I cant wait to get down there and ride this thing!
More things I notice:
Will have seatbelts. Transfer table is in a way different spot than B&M normally places them. No trims in animation, but that could change (see Banshee), it is just an animation afterall. Entrance and styling points are very similar to GK/Banshee, the likeness is there on so many levels.
Carowinds just got put on the map if it ever wasn't for Eastern coaster enthusiasts I feel.

And nothing says "Welcome to the group" more than a snarky comment from a "regular poster." Nice.
[sarcasm] Marek2011, you are no longer aloud in the tree house. Your comment/opinion does not meet the qualifying IQ level. [/sarcasm]
