There is a separate thread discussing the reason for the September 5th and 6th closure.

We're on a roll and it's not even the off season quite yet.

Fury 325 reminds me a lot about Gatekeeper. They both have that L layout and they either go above and/or below the entrance. Plus they have the sweet looking plaza. They also have they overbankish turn after the go over the entrance.

Seriously when will the announcement for 2015 be ?

Your guess is as good as mine.

I noticed during the Carowinds announcement that they made specific mention of overhauling their entire food services offering.

With the recent additions of Harmony Hall at Carowinds and similar at Knott's,
I would think it reasonable that CP may be getting the same type of facility and a long overdue revamp of the food offerings at the Point.

It would fit well with the updates to Breakers and the midway, putting polish and finish on the product. And go along with the Platinum Pass All Season - All Park Dining Plan, as dining options at King's Island really outshine CP's it would make sense to upgrade.

CP apparently used to be known for its food offerings, I think it would be great if they do add something like Harmony Hall in place of the pavilion and update the food offering in the park.

New for 2024- Wicked Twister Plus

I think the Pirate Ride building and Point Pavilion will be demolished, Raptors entrance moved over by Blue Streak, and then a thrill ride along with Harmony Hall built in place of PR and the pavilion. Also I think Mantis will become King James. But that's just my guess.

I can see us getting an announcement either this weekend (probably Saturday since those are the busiest days) or next (since it is the last week of August). That way, it'll be a good finish to the park's summer season, an if it is on a weekend, there is sure to be lots of people there to witness a big surprise.

Arms Down, Head Back, and Hold On!...Arms Down!...Arms Down......

I highly doubt they will just announce anything, without first announcing the date that they will be announcing something.

Unless they aren't announcing anything major..

If it isn't anything major, which I think is likely - would there even be a formal "announcement" or just a simple press release?

Perhaps it is just semantics here but I am taking an "announcement" to mean they would put a date out there and invite people to witness the "announcement".

So Now we know Fury 325 is the name at Carowinds, where does that leave Centurion? This is a long shot but if Fury can go 95 mph maybe Centurion will be a coaster that can hit 100???

Well obviously its gonna be something major. They said its a thrill ride aimed for teens and thrill seekers. And Brian Edwards said during the winter tour that next year is a tour that you wont want to miss.

Or maybe Centurion was a false clue the whole time.. Or a rename..

I'm pretty sure Rougarou will be at CP.

A thrill ride aimed at teens and thrill seekers could be anything from a coaster to a zip line.

Outside of the Breakers renovation, which is indeed a major project - the largest and costliest in park history I do believe. I doubt there will be anything major, however what I consider major may not match with what another person considers major.

Say what?? You have Bay Harbor, Breakwater Care, Chickies & Petes, Famous Daves, Johnny Rockets, Perkins, TGI Fridays, & Tomo grill as sit down restaurants with full service. I only see Reds HoF in the park, and its menu is limited, and I have only had good service there twice honestly.

Then you have all sorts of other walk in, counter, and specialty places like Midway Market, Pinks, etc.

I'll take food @ CP over KI, especially any of the food that "chef" has cooked..How does a chef serve stale buns and dry chicken is beyond me..But he does have the people gatta eat attitude, so I guess that would explain it.

But wow..Pass up TGI Fridays for Reds Grille? Very shocking.
