155 days till Halloweekends!

For those keeping score at home the Red Garter show, The Edge of Madness: Still Crazy, still does not feature a live band. The show is generally the same with a few new songs. While the performers do a fine job (the vocals seem especially strong this year), the show still feels, well, toothless without the live instruments. It seems like the volume/bass gets turned up to compensate somehow. That said though, it's nice to have any show in the Garter for HalloWeekends so this one will do. The live band just takes it to another level.

^^I said I had myself convinced it would help, but deep down I know the truth that I will still have to crawl out of bed Sunday with the hopes of maybe walking again by the afternoon...

^I still respectfully disagree, I saw the show with and without the band and I like it better without, the vocals have to be stronger because they can't hide behind a rock band. And good vocals beat loud band anyday for me, especially at an amusement park.

Ideally there would be both, live band and strong vocals. Several of the Monsters Rock editions managed this, I think. I just wish it didn't have to be an either/or kind of thing.

Yeah... there's an energy you get from seeing a live band that a karaoke performance just doesn't deliver.

I can't believe Friday is THE day! Hopefully this week will be fast and not too torturous.

Monsters Rock did this perfectly.

And if the show is anything like last year, it is "meh" at best.

Which is disappointing because I always made it a point to catch the show prior to ditching the band. Now its not even worth it.

The park was coming together really well, when I was there Sunday. I really the big lantern like things in the flower beds on the Main Midway. I don't remember them in years past so I'm assuming they're new. It also looked like Perkins in the Breakers was all decorated and had black lights and stuff.

I saw those too and they do look really cool! Was nice to see a new addition along the midway. I wouldn't mind having a few of those for my yard ;)

The big lanterns are a very nice addition indeed. I haven't seen them at night but hopefully they will light up in the evenings.

The new show at the Jack Adlrich Theatre, Sideshow - A Carnival of Magic, is okay enough for what it is, which is mostly dancing with a bit of low-level magic tricks mixed in. The crowd seemed to enjoy Chris Linn's magic show than this one. Any word on where Sideshow came from? Was it produced in-house at Cedar Point? Is it an old Knott's show (like The Return of Dr. Cleaver)? It had a different feel than most Cedar Point Live E shows of the past.

YEAH!!! CEDAR POINT'S BEST TIME OF THE YEAR!!! Anybody know more info about the Asylum haunted house? Ive seen how they have changed the entrance but want to know more if anybody ha some inside scoop... Thanks

Looks good! They have recently added some chain link fence around the entrance, and it divides the entrance from the exit as well. Gotta keep those patients locked in ;)

Wow thats awesome. I just love how Cedar Point goes all out for Halloweekends. It's my favorite time of the year!

I can't say anything other than you guys are going to love everything this year! Def. go to check out Asylum! And of course, my personal favorite, Terror Island ;) I'm just a tad partial lol

I hope you take the time to hit up Fear Faire, a lot of scenic changes and many return vets are gonna make the zone better then in the past!

Aside from that I can officially say its tomorrow and I am just stupid excited right now.
