Are you serious? Cedar Point has not even opened yet!

Why not? People are already talking about what will be new next year and what they "wish" would be built at the park. I don't see how this is any more of a pointless topic than the others that are made. It's no different than the one counting down the days to when Cedar Point opens.
i have never ever in my life counted down the days til Halloweekends starts. i may have to do this then cos i apparently have no life.
ask me for my facebook.
^And I have never ever in my life counted down the days until the park opens like other people on this site are doing. So what is your point? You have never counted down the days until Halloweekends because you probably don't care that much. Just as some don't care about counting down the days until the park opens. I don't see the big deal in this?
^why do you have a smart alec remark for something i say. i actually care about what CP does. you can actually ask a few people that i know personally on here.
ask me for my facebook.
How is what I said being a "smart alec"? I just asked you a question. I don't understand why people are so against this thread when there is another one counting down the days to the park open. What's the difference?
Why argue? Of course there's no difference. Technically, this topic is open to any kind of talk regarding Cedar Points Halloweekends for the 2010 season. Just like an opening day topic, you talk about the past season and what to hope of the following season. If you're not interested or don't want to comment on the upcoming event, then simply stay clear of it. It's not breaking any of the rules (at least not to my knowledge of what I have read) except for the often reoccurring topic.....which this is the first 2010 Halloweekends topic to my knowledge. So put your peace and stick to the topic.

I don't see why there isn't more of a bigger deal for Halloweekends...we do bring in the biggest crowds all year. I've seen people wait in a line for Terror Island, a walk through zone that opens at 8..and people are out waiting at 6, even when told it won't open till 8, there's a line. And most of the time a longer one then some of the coasters. Without Halloweekends you wouldn't be able to walk on the island and get those great night shots with the colored lights and new angle views of Millenium. And I do agree with 99er...when the park closes in November, later that day I already see on here a countdown for the park opening, and what's new..so I don't see anything wrong with this.

Exactly. I don't understand why people had to come in here and rain on this guys thread because they think it is a pointless topic.
I for one can't wait for Halloweekends. It seriously is the best time of the season at Cedar Point.

This was primarily my point in starting the topic. Plus, Halloweekends is far and away the best time of year at Cedar Point.
Speaking of Halloweekends, it's been a couple years for us; I know Friday nights are usually light (crowd wise), Saturdays are just mind-boggling busy, but are Sundays generally better, or just hit or miss?

Pretty much, begining of the event Saturdays aren't mind-boggling busy, it does get a little crowded but it doesn't get too bad until half-way through the event. Friday's are the day you go if you want to ride a lot and hit all of the evdents...but as a Screamster on a Saturday we usually go out with a little more intensity since we have such bigger crowds. So it's all basically a choice. I'd prefer to go on a Saturday, open longer and you can do more.

I actually prefer a Sunday Halloweekends. Now, there is only one worth going to every year, but you can be sure I'm there! Last year, it was October 11th, and I swear hell froze over, because it was so cold, but it was so worth it! I'd totally go on Fridays, but between work and school, I'm not sure if I can make it. For those of you wondering, the extended hours Halloweekends date is October 10, 2010. Crowds weren't bad at all on the 11th last year, and I'm expecting the same this year, but I was disappointed that they didn't have the Dragster open until about 3:00. :(
As for the guy who said this thread is a waste of space, it can be argued that every thread by excentric coaster enthusiasts on here is a waste of space. All countdowns, while highly unnecessary, provide us with something to talk about while we reminisce on the past season, and look forward to the coming one.
Yes the park isnt even opened yet so kinda insignificant to countdown days till halloweekends. Maybe count down days till the park opens but not halloweekends.
haha some people count down to christmas, or the january 1st. haha till they birthday the list can go on and on.
To me and zeek and a few others im sure the start of halloweekends is like christmas. Iv had the countdown going since nov 2nd so i guess you can count me as one excited. I really dont think people understand how much work and time go into halloweekends. It is just like a second opening day.
