Which I think HHN seems to do really well. I think the concept of a continuous line works out really well for them with how they place scares. Though I'm more of the visual type so I'm more or less looking at the amazing detail rather than worrying about what's around the corner. :)
I went though quite a few haunts this year. And while most DID stink due to stacking, I had a few that were awesome due to going on an empty night. There's really nothing like having a haunted house all to yourself. It really makes every scare feel unique and special.

Oh and anyone reading this needs to make a note to visit the Ghostly Manor on 250. My 5th time visiting and it's still a blast. Definitely my top 5 haunts.

Do you know if the Ghostly Manor is open year round Adam? We always say we are going to go on closing weekend but never end up making it.

It should be open year round, but just for weekends, just don't plan on any actors being there-

(I was going to be working there part time during the off season-working their skating rink and filling in part-time in the house-then got hired at Castaway)

From what I know, after october, they only open if you call ahead (with a certain number of people) so they can get some of their workers to be there for the haunt.

I'm not really impressed with animatronics, which is really what Ghostly Manor relies on. I'll take a couple of quality actors over the animatronic stuff any day.

I agree wholeheartedly but I think GM is a good exception. I think that since they're open "all year", the animatronics help alleviate the amount of actors that would be needed otherwise. And since they don't really get halloween crowds all year, it makes sense to have 2 or 4 dedicated scare actors (since I know they dont need many for the layout) that also double as regular employees. This allows them to do regular work duties and get in costume quickly when they get a group that wants to go through.

I for one love GM and the silly amount of animatronics they use. Their space is soo small yet soo much is jam packed in that space. I find myself giggling the whole way. :)
