Yes they do advertise that. I am just stating that when I went last year, and the above statement was also in place, that they did not charge for extra drinks. So it is possible that you may luck out and get more than 1 drink.
For $65 a person, I don't think the customer should have to hope for "luck".
Like I said - you could get a whole hell of a lot more for that sort of money almost anywhere else.

I don't know of many places that offer Halloween themed dinners, so I could not get more elsewhere when what I want is a Halloween themed dinner.
If you're looking for unlimited alcolohic beverages then I guess you would get more elsewhere, but I don't think the people who choose this experience are looking for that.
I know a lot of other dining experiences that cost more than this and no alcohol is included, so doesn't seem like a bad deal to me. It's about the experience, not how many alcoholic drinks you can get.
Yeah, I get that. I simply think paying $65/person, for what sounds like a $35/person meal (at best) is excessive, even with the theme.
My point in bringing up the single drink was not to complain that I wouldn't be able to get hammered, but rather that if I'm paying that much for a meal, I better get more than one beer with it.

Yup, all goes along with what you like/want. I am all about Halloween, so I don't mind spending that much and think it's a decent price, whereas others are not into as much, so it would probably not seem like a good value to them...
Considering the other food prices in the park I am surprised any alcoholic beverage is included at all ;)
I don't know if I'd pay that price but knowing the house as well as I do and having eaten the food in the dining room (not for one of the nights they had during the season, but still the same set up) it was fantastic. The food was great with a lot of variety and some interesting themed food. The experience was pretty neat and I guess if you have the money to drop its worth it since there's not much like it around here. I am still surprised at just how good the food was, much better quality than I would have expected.

Very excited for tomorrow!
Here's to hoping the rain drops are few and far between! 30% chance of precipitation.
Mav and MForce during ERT, watch a few shows, wrap up with 4-5 hours of haunted houses, scare zones, and coasters in the dark!
I'll be going the 8th, 9th, and 10th. :)
Quote from a Corkscrew ride op, "And Dragster is down again"
I'll be working 1st shift in Chuck Wagon as a money maker for my Yearbook class. After that, I'll be ridding Maverick as many times in the fog as I can.
Let's Get Weird.
Gonna be there saturday for the VIP tour for 6 I won with other fellow buzzers. Can't wait to finally get to the park (after nearly 2 months) and see the updated houses and the new asylum. Unfortunately the scarezones will have to wait till the 10th of october. Oh well.....:(

Are we ready for another night of mayhem tomorrow?! :)
I'm ready. My body on the other hand...
Well, a week has passed since visiting Halloweekends and I have collected my thoughts...I thought I would share some of them.
To start off, my favorite attraction was Happy Jack's Toy Factory. Not because of the scares, but because of the scenes. From what I noticed in each house, which I believe was to be a lot, this house had the most detail of them all. My favorite parts of Happy Jacks was the demented dolls, the life-size barbies and the marionettes. Did they scare me? No. But did they do their job of being freaky? Yes. Kudos to those girls. They were nice looking as well! Another room I remember is the "game" room with the real life characters. Not scary for me, but liked the work and the idea.
The other haunt that I remember is Club Blood. The two rooms that I remember in here were the mirrored room and the barrel room. The mirror room totally worked on me. I would have been lost for hours if the other people in my group wouldn't have directed me. I wish we could do a mirror room, but for insurance reasons and dealing with a totally different crowd than Cedar Point does, we cannot do it. Mirrors would constantly be breaking and needing replaced.
The bareel room, I loved the concept. We use those barrels for trash cans at our haunt. Plenty of areas to pop out of and allow the "screamster" to roam if capable.
I cannot think of any additional rooms for the haunted houses that are memorable. I somewhat enjoyed the Asylum, but nothing is standing out about it besides the lady that was "lost" interacting with the crowd waiting in line. She did a good job acting mental and keeping the people in line entertained. Kudos to her! This was Friday night.
The mansion, Boecks, was so-so. I liked the girl on the bed the best. That's all that I can remember about this house.
As for the outside fright zones, I am in the middle. Beginning with Friday night, the Fright Zone (I think - Frontier Trail) was incredibly foggy. The fog machines were putting out so much fog i couldn't see my hand in-front of my face 99% of the time. Saturday night it was MUCH more under control so it was a little better. I enjoyed the screamers who slid across the asphalt and then popped up on someone. That was fun to watch and I would do if I was still scaring people. I also enjoyed sitting and watching the guy that talked into the voice changer and was heard through the speakers at the beginning/end of the zone. When I watched him, he was eating Subway (I think) and was doing the talking. Him and the trashcan with the siren in it were a great break to sit and watch for a few minutes.
As for Terror Island, that was probably my favorite fright zone. Beginning with the way the screamsters came through the line while we were all waiting to get into the zone on Saturday night. That was very cool! I am going to bring that up to our design/idea crew next year when we make our return. Ralph Wiggum, I enjoyed what you did by walking through the queue line. Very cool. KUDOS! My favorite part was the guys on the bungee cords that jumped right in front of people as they were walking. I went through TI three times and stopped and watched them a few times. Kudos to them as well.
Fear Faire, in my opinion, was so/so. My favorite part about it was the dragon out front.
CarnEVIL, was somewhat of a let down. When I heard/saw that clowns were going to be terrorizig patrons, I was excited. A lot of people HATE clowns. The most memorable people from CarnEVIL was the guy riding the tricycle and one of the "announcers." The older guy, not the younger kid.
Cornstalkers was decent. I was startled a few times while walking through. The outfits blended well with the corn stalks the later the night got. I also enjoyed the narrower path that this had as it puts the patrons right into the action.
One complaint I have is the group size that was sent through the houses at once. Now, I understand that A LOT of people go through each house each night and that probably HAS to be done, but we were "assigned" to groups ranging from 8 - 14 people. Most, if not all, haunted houses are not designed for a group that large. If you are in the middle or back of the group in a group that large, you miss the scare completely. You see it happen but don't necessarily experience it. Unless the screamsters now how to scare the front of the group, reset, and then get the last of the group. There were many areas of the different houses where a screamer could do just that, unfortunately, they didn't. I know this was the first weekend as everyone is getting back into the swing of things and/or the "not so good" screamers are being tested out, so part of this falls on me and when I went. I would prefer going through the houses again later in October when everything/everyone is in full effect, but I'm not able to unfortunately. We will be touring the midwest on the weekends of other haunts.
Overall, I'm glad we made the trip. It was nice to be a patron of Halloween festivities. I hope you all have a successful season and enjoy it while you can!
