Cedar Point Announces New Water Ride for 2010 Season

Aww that's the nicest thing anyone has said to me so far today.

So, is toady the day that bubbles begin to tumble over the rocks?

Gotta work today so maybe one of you clever fellows at the keyboard can do a print screen when it goes down... wink wink nudge nudge.

If I am not mistaken, I already see a waterfall turned on over on the Island this morning. Nope, most likely it was just glare on the rocks that looked like white water.

At the end of the day yesterday, I caught a glimpse of some lucky kid and an adult taking a walking tour of the station and surrounding area.

I'm really starting to hope we get mist in this tunnel as one of the effects. Mist that actually stays for a while.....;)

They were just testing (what looked like a fountain of water) something between the tunnel, and the rock work.

There is also a crane doing some work on corkscrew. You can see it on the pagoda cam.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Is the boat ride going to travel up next to the entrance queue?

^ That was epic. Just as quickly as it was on though, it was off. I can't wait to see the full testing begin. I say we all celebrate with a toast online as we watch the boats go down the hills.

Still awaiting on the height req...:)

I hope things continue to move. I hope the ride is ready by opening day.

I agree about the height req.

I hope it's 42", then my daughter can ride it.

I can't see it being much or any more than that. She can ride any log flume ride around, and she can even ride the demon corkscrew coaster at six flags.

Looks beautiful! Now all they have to do is plant grass around the area where you can see dirt. Another thing we have to wait for is testing. I hope they test both Millennium Force and Shoot the Rapids at the same time. :)

Sorry to get off topic but there is a new blog up. It shows Demon Drop, MaxAir, and a peak at Shoot the Rapids. Demon Drop's space look pretty bad but hopefully they can spruce it up with some nice landscaping.

^Why would they waste space and money on landscaping? Whats there now perfectly fits the CP theme, Industrial Park! ;) On a lighter note, they probably won't do much since those survey markers tend to ruin the landscaping. ;)

Ah Tony knew I would be sad there are no footers where Demon Drop once was. ;)

^The key word is yet. They could start pouring footers later on in the season for 2011.

Seeing STR progress more through construction I am more excited to ride it more and more. It looks like a great ride and a great addition to that part of the park.

Regarding Demon Drop's plot, I'm a bit surprised they didn't even throw down a few benches or tables, since it seems like a rather nice area. Though doing so would require concrete pouring...
