On point xtreme's photo pages for July 17th, picture 28 out of 48 is very interesting. Look at what the fork-lift is putting down. To me, they look like seats in a weird circular container, either that or some very funky cars with 6-8 seats all facing inwards. You have to zoom way in but they look like seats to me. Let me know if I am seeing things.

That would be one of Thunder Canyons tubes (or whatever they're called).:)

Oh man! They did look strangely familiar. Don't I feel sheepish? I better go to bed. :)

Every post about 2007 has been an opinion.

I have yet to read a thread by anyone that has actually given any insight.

That is not true.

Some have stated that it will be a red intamin. That is not opinion, it is fact. ;)

"WITH inversions" is the kicker on that sign I believe. *** Edited 7/20/2006 1:25:19 PM UTC by halltd***

I stated this on another thread, but I believe that the weird piece that is being talked about is for fixing or storing trains.

Oh yeah, well... well... YOU'RE part of the storage track!

Seriously, though, that thing is hella wacky.

Not really. If you figure the extra "flanges" (I can't think of a better word for it) help support the track. If you parked a coaster train on that with just support in the middle, it would eventually start to sag at either end. The flange provides support to the track and redirects that weight load into the support.

Yeah, I see what you're saying, it's just such a weird looking part.

But, I guess Intamin has really only been doing this on their own since 1999, so they're still trying new and exciting things... :\

You can see many differences and advances through each year of different coasters built by Intamin and B&M.

I see what youre saying, but what about Millenniums and Dragsters storage track(s)? They dont have any.....whatever that thing is. And none of the 2 have had sagging problems. But then again, they have an equal number of supports that distribute the weight evenly.
I've stated this before but I think it might have to do with either the brakes (maybe something new theyre doing) or something that will be used in the station. If you look closely, you'll see 4 small holes that will be used to attatch something to the individual bars. What that thing is, I dont know.:P

This layout (look at the footers)

http://www.rcdb.com/ig1412.htm?picture=2

looks awfully similar to these footers

add a helix after the barrel rolls...
