BlueStreak64,
It is? Oops. Some of the beams look exactly like that Tornado- that's why I put it on there. The familiarities are exact.
Damn. I though I found something! LOL

Haha, Little Leslie, I was thinking the same thing a long time ago, I remember the post. And just before you posted that, I revisited Tornado at RCDB. But, if you do look closely, you can see that multiple reaches off of the beams are in a diagnol. The supports on site are all straigtened.
But, I'm not an expert on this stuff, I could be totally wrong, just thinking.
Grizzeg,
Hey, but what if they're making the same type- but with a twist? And Tornado isn't tall, either.
It is Intamin AG. (I know, I'm still trying) ;-)
I like this drop: http://www.rcdb.com/ig1076.htm?picture=7

I know that kind of coaster won't be at Cedar Point next year, but it would be neat if we saw something like that in the future.
LL: With all the supports we've seen, almost none of them would support an inverted coaster. Keep in mind that the supports would have to connect to the top of the track.

Unless this will be the first constantly-inverted, inverted coaster, the train will travel OVER the supports. ;)
Maybe it's the kind that the legs are dangling, but you're still sitting upright! Haha!

Actually, the supports that you can see could be the bases of supports, and then inversions. If you notice, the supports on Tornado form a "box" around the track, as seen here:

And here:
http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f2/gregculley/tornado15.jpg
Supports that are in the staging area currently could be formed into theses "box supports"
Also seen in the picture above, and currently on the construction site are supports such as these:

So, it's still possible for the trains to be traveling under the track, although, the "launch" might not work out with this, unless you got launced upside down, which could be cool, but not really realistic.
Well, who knows? We won't be able to really tell by just the supports. It could be anything. Intamin Mega's have the same kind of supports and track. *** Edited 8/1/2006 3:25:55 PM UTC by grizzeg***
The probelem with your inverted theory are the supports that we see on site for turns.
http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=4575
Typically regular coaster turn on the inside of turns like so: http://www.rcdb.com/ig1646.htm?picture=21
However, inverted rides turn on the outside of the track like here: http://www.rcdb.com/ig1076.htm?picture=15
Those box supports can be used in a variety of ways here is one example http://www.rcdb.com/ig1412.htm?picture=19

Maybe SOME of the supports on site could be for an invert, but not all. The ones up by the midway PROVE that it won't be an invert. Its not gonna happen people. Let's concentrate on something else now.
As I said, I gave up on this idea a pretty long time ago, but I was seeing if there was maybe a chance, I was just running it by you guys. Yeah, I can see multiple inversions on this coaster.

My bad! I started it! LOL
